Having looked at the Points Boasting final tally on the Council of War board I think it's fairly obvious that the war didn't need to be fixed. From our sample (ie ppt people) Maraqua had over double the points that the Pirates did.

Now that isn't an exact representation of how it panned out over all but it's probably a good indication. I really don't think that tnt *need* to fix wars now (eg this one and last one) as so many more people always sign up for the good guys, either because they like the trophies more or just because more people are going to be drawn to the good side. And in this case many people were excited about seeing Maraqua again so they were less likely to fight against Maraqua.

So overall I think whilst tnt would have fixed the results if necessary, they really didn't have to :)

You need to take into account that a lot of the PinkPT users aren't large battlers (A lot are, but more aren't). Most lower level battlers tend to go with the good guys (in any war, it's been proven time and time again). As we all know from the lovely ranking system, newer battlers or mid-level (though not in Rank 2) battlers got a large advantage over the heavier fighters (500 - 700 Boosters) in the fact that there opponents increased HP very little. As much as we like to complain, the bottom of Rank 2 had it a lot easier than the bottom of Rank 3.

Newer to mid-level battlers had a large advantage over the bottom of Rank 2 and 3 so the results from PPT were slightly skewed towards Maraqua (the "Good" guys).

Maraqua probably still won (helped by the fact the big battlers who seem to tend to go Evil couldn't fight easier opponents), but probably not as much as the figures given by PPT make it out to seem.

Yes, I know there are a lot of mid-level or above battlers on PPT, but nopt as much on a more battling focused forum such as IDB

I wonder what the pirates would have done if they won. Destroy Maraqua again?
I'm kind of glad the pirates lost, I missed Maraqua.

Oh yes, I don't think they won by such a huge factor as the poll here suggests as the rank 3 pirates had more of the big players for one thing. Though of course the poll here did include supporters as well as warriors.

Did IDB do a similar thing? Because that would be interesting :)

Its rather hard to tell if it was fixed, but I am glad it turned out the way it did. I didn't participate in the war, I was too late to sign up but I watched it avidly, and I just don't know.

Overall results as written on the recruitment page - credit to Cranberry :) Not fixed methinks :P

I personally think it might be fairer if TNT took the average of the players and points scored.

If you do this, then the pirates won by an average of 20 points.

But then again, if one country has 150,000 more troops than another country, it's not like they're going to suddenly average that out or something. *shrug*

I don't think it was fixed, but I think they intentionally made the Maraquan trophies nicer so more people would fight for Maraqua. I mean, the last time evil won a war was the first Meridell war, and they didn't even let Darigan win in the actual plot. TNT wouldn't lie about who earned more points, but in a very Simon Cowell-like way (and I totally didn't just admit to ever watching American Idol) they made sure the results would come out the way they wanted.

I think it's too bad they don't let evil win any of the plots. Although I fought for Maraqua in this war, it'd be great to see the bad guys come out on top in the next one. With the good side always winning, the wars get predictable. Plus, nice doesn't always equal good.

Off course... I mean... they had to make big plans for the winning site.. can't convinse me that they just "waited" to see who won so they could plan..

What was the point of having the choice of Pina Colada? it will just cause us to waste votes. like i did. :P Anyway, i don't think it was fixed. TNT knew maraqua would win. everyone knew that. they didn't have to do anything to fix it

NO it's not fixed. We were just outnumbered, like usual. People always want to join the good side.

Didn't Darigan win the first Meridell war? And didn't the TNT need to rewrite the story all over again? (I don't know, I didn't play Neopets after Darigan won.) If they did, they probably didn't want to risk the 'bad guys' winning again. I'm not so sure if they fixed it, but they probably had ways of making the war lean in Maraqua's favour... ;)

I doubt it was, I mean they could have had the pirates lose the war but still have maraqua win overall (didn't they do that in another war?) but from being on several fan sites it seems the majority of warriors and supporters were on the Maraquan side. So if we could see war points I reckon Maraqua would have won fair and square :)

I agree with Trick.
