I only use the neoboards for faerie quests, and then I just say 'Please find this' and then thnaks. Quick in and out before anyone gets hurt.

Wow, someone just said they're leaving Neopets because people won't help on the boards. D: That's really sad. Sometimes I think they should just get rid of the boards. It causes too much of a problem.

I have a joke with some friends that is if you don't want to use the self freeze button, just post a topic on the Neoboards

Sadly, a lot of people I know have been falsely reported on them and now don't play neo any more. Very sad indeed.

It's not what you post, it's the people on the boards that matters. Most people that go to Help/New members are usually new members themselves. If I was in HC answering 100 questtions from people asking "how u got this & tt", I'll go crazy too.

One point to note is POST IN THE RIGHT FORUM. This point is just one that really annoys me since there's seperate boards for everything

Thanksfullt, TC is all about trades. Occasionally if you spend 1-2 hours on a single board itself, it really doesn't matter much if you make an off-topic post. For example, I may need quest help but I still post at the TC since I usually hang out there

OF course, senseless topics are to be ridiculed at, reporting button is helpful at times, but it just seems to give too much freedom to power-hungry people... Usually if you're on the Neoboards, do what you want to do, as long as you know it doesn't violate the rules. Ignore those who like to report you if you know that nothing is going to come out of it.

And *bows to immortal HCer* my... I've only a 2 year Neoboard life

I'd have to say the best analogy for this is the LUE board on GameFaqs. It started out as an intelligent place where people could hold coherent discussion and slowly devolved into a bunch of blathering idiots.

I'd have no problem if TNT deleted the boards as a whole. None of that "only delete the rule-offending boards" business like when they deleted the General Chat (which started this whole mess because the morons at GC invaded all the other boards). EVERY board is a rule-offending board now. The only uses I ever had for the NeoBoards is now available here.

I didn't realize it was so dangerous to post on the boards.

The only boards I have really haunted are the Faerie Quest and NQ boards. The people at the NQ boards(when there are people at the NQ boards) are generally very nice and have a good sense of humer. Very few people seem to be reported on that board and only for good reason. Generally people don't even mind if half the posts are off topic, since it basically is a place for general gamer chat while they play the tedious RPG.

The Faerie Quest board I am more cautious with. It gets way more idiots then NQC, but when you gotta go, you gotta go. Avvie chat seems relatively harmless... as long as you keep your nose real clean, and never mention the words 'pet' and 'lending' in the same post.

I used to HC, since I know A LOT about neopets. The honest questions never bothered me, it's just that chat speak makes my brain explode.lol
