I didn't get to the faerie until oh, the 10th possible door.

I have a question about the parchment you find at the end of Pyramids(still can't get the piece for an hour), how exactly do you read it? For example, the numbers at the top of the column do not corralate to the position of any of the doors with the same color, shape, and symbol. Also, one of my numbers is 9 -- obviously this makes no sense because there are only 5 possible doors per room.

Should I just ignore the numbers and go in the door matching everything else?

I've been using the numbers like this:

On the first parchment follow the instructions under ONE dot.
On the second parchment follow the instructions under TWO dots.
On the third parchment follow the instructions under THREE dots.

Worked for me so I'm guessing that's the trick :)

What do you mean? I thought that all doors were trapped excepting:

Parchment doors
Library doors
Faerie door

And by "regular" doors, we mean....?

by regular doors, do you mean hallways?
if so go to internet options and select "check for newer versions of pages everytime".
That was happening to me and that fixed it.

Parchment doors are trapped, you just get a piece out of it as well.

I thought only the doors with symbols and big colored rocks in front held traps. But I've found just regular doors to have traps. . and it's driving me crazy.

what do you mean by regular doors? the colored ones? thats normal. The ones that connect bits of the temple? that's probably because you used the back button on your browser or because you have something switched on in your browser which shouldn't be. You must always navigate by the arrows on the screen. If you use the back button you may think you moved to a different room, neopets doesn't :)
