Just re-reading that letter that I got from Neopets (you know, the one that tells you where to get your 2k neopoints - oh, incidentally I am not a premium user but got it anyway) and I came across an interesting line: Later on, a new species will be released. We are keeping it all rather hush-hush, but we can tell you it is reptilian, and is not cute!

...And my question is thus: Why do we need another pet so soon? I mean, even the Mok is unneccesary.

Mind you, I'm also thinking it's not fair to only let us have four pets with the amount that are being released. I'm facing the problem that although I want to lab foster-pets, my pets are rare and I want to keep them. If this pet is nice, I may want to keep it, too.

...I'm hoping that they make it reptilian, and don't give it wings. Lots of Neopets have wings. And most of the reptillian Neopets are draconic.

Just my 5 cents (2 cent coins don't exist here any more), and wondering what your opinions of this are.

How many's that then? Yurble, Ruki, Bori, Mok, reptillian thing?


How long will it take them to realise that producing pets all the time isn't going to stop us getting annoyed when we lose things due to glitches on their behalf, and stuff? The pets are great and all, but wouldn't a mostly functional site be better instead of the usual "Whoops, sorry, there's no (insert random failed plot/thingy here) but there is a brand new species we've been working on, called the RonnieMacDonnie!" If they've got the time to do 5 different Bori colours (and might I add that they still haven't finished the colours for the Ruki, and the Yurble seems almost forgotten) then I'm sure they've got the time to sort out a comic-strip plotline!

My suggestion to you Ledi, if you don't already have an extra account, is to create another account just to create pets you want to have. That way you can have all the pets you want and not have to worry about using up a spot on your main account.

Umm if they were trying to make us feel better with this they are REALLY wrong. Isn't this just making people madder. I mean allot of people on neopets already have 4 great rare pets. If another new great pet comes along they will have to abandon one of theres. Lucky for me I ionly have one pet

Lol, I don't think having to abandon a pet would make people terribly angry I don't really see anything in this email to make people angry. It gives free NP, free food, and hints about the future.

I think people are being a bit over critical when saying that this is "no way for Neopets to make up for the glitches" and stuff.

I personally like that they are releasing lots of new pets. That's what I always thought should be one of the things that they needed to focus on. I doubt that they are trying to buy our love with it. The more pets they create = the more variety within the pets = the more choice for new/old users = happy users. Especially since they have promised a non-cute pet for a while now.

It's just really frusterating that every-other thread of every-other day will contain so much complaining about the way Neopets is run.

I remember seeing a bear shaped creature on neohelpers before, they may have changed it.

I think the problem is in the breaking of promises. If TNT starts something, they should finish it. Not put it off for other things until they forget about it. (Neoschools, anyone?) And that's not a complaint just about TNT; us sitting here looking at everything Neopets already has and whining about some stupid plot they didn't finish; when you start something and tell everyone you're going to finish it, you finish it. You just do.

Well, you really don't know what goes on behind the scenes. There is obviously something preventing them from Neoschools.

The thing is, none of us really knows how Neopets really runs itself, but I don't think its as simple as "They were doing this... then they stopped that and did this... then they stopped that and did this...".

Well, I think the lesson for TNT is either "Finish what you begin," or "Don't bite off more than you can chew."

I could try getting a job there and finding out, problem is the only thing I'd be able to be qualified for quickly is game programmer, which I have no skill at ATM (but know people who can probably teach me). Then of course, I'd have to move down to LA, which'll be a pain in the butt, and then they'll likely say I can't disclose info about NeoSchools

Well, just stick to your 4 favourite pets and morph them around if you get bored of them. Either that or create a new account to keep pets.

Eh.. The thing with MP's... They're heckuv expensive. o_o;

I say that we should be able to get more pets..... Like, one more every for every 6 months you've been playing? xD I dunno, but I don't get WHY they don't let us get more.

I hope the new neopet is another dragon or a serpant, i love dragons and serpants. .Even though they have 3 dragons (draik, shoyru, and the schorchio) But neopet havent had any serpants. There was a really cool card in the tcg that had a serpant in it but i forgot what.
