What do you all think about the big guild like the ones on teh front pages of each guild community thing?

I think mine's the best. J/k, but I do love my guild.

Really, it depends. Some of these big guilds are just big numbers, but don't chat. I like mine because there's always someone on the message board to chat with. There's a lot of members, and some lurk just for the stock advice, but everyone that chats on the board is treated like family.

How much do you consider big? 800 people? Yeah..that's my guild, but it's guild. AS LONG as there's 50 posts every hour, I'm fine. Which is my guild.

Sooo..big numbers and no chatting=bad. Big numbers and half chatting=good. Small numbers and all catting=BEST.

Haha like that phrase my friend. I agree. Guilds are defined as places where people hang out and chat. WHat is the point of joining a guild for the sake of an extra line in ur lookup and actuing cool ? Joining guilds means that u want to have people to chat and talk to. People to share ur burden, sadness..etc

I dont really like the big guilds. Nobody ever gets noticed unless they have a tremendous amount of neopoints. If the big guilds get chatty, the messages drown away and make the board seem all a mess. :\

75% of those guilds on the top of the lists are defunct anyhow, the whole place needs an overhaul. Most guilds are pretty small, and even the ones with thousands of members only have a handful that are actually active.

I prefer smaller guilds with people that I know. But as of right now, I don't even know what guild I'm in. I had to really think about it. Big guilds make you feel left out though. Small guilds are cozier and seem to be more fun. I've only been in one good guild, and it was my own about two years ago. We only had around 20-30 people, but it was so much more fun than hundreds or even thousands. O__O

I have a guild that about 20 or so people, we are all around the same age and we are all girls, not that boys can't join, lol there's just no boys at the moment.

I like my guild, I've been friends with my guild mates for a good 3 years now or so for a few 2 and less for the rest.

We really don't get new members often, but usualy when we do, they end up staying quite a long time.

we all have alot in common and we like to chat, everyone's kinda equal in our little guild, and that's how I ment it to be and thats how we like it!

The guild i'm in is a gaming guild with about 90 ppl in it.... we have our own forums and a unique ranking system based on game scores

I'm in two guilds. One of them where I'm always hanging around on their forums (where I really enjoy it), and another that I'm in just to show off that I'm in an exclusive battledome guild that a bunch of people want to get into. I 've been part of it for nearly a year, and only posted about 20 times.

The first guild I'm in is actually a large guild, and it is on one of the front pages for the locations. Amazingly active too.

I think anyone running them must either be rude to some of the members, or insane. Take my advice: While the fame is nice, never work your way up to the top of a big guild. You'll get bombarded with neomails and responsibility, and neopets will lose it's fun.

I have a guild but I never chat there, in fact my sole purpose for joining the guild was to get better stock advice. I use PPT for chatting.

the guild im in is cool i think it has 300 members alot of them are active its the nbn guild .. it's nice there i dont chat there very often i have been coming here alot actually lol i just joined on the 6th i think and im trying to make myself known here. XD

I don't like the big guilds, particularly the active ones. In huge active guilds it is sooo hard to get your voice heard and its even harder to make friends. I just found that in the bigger guilds I always felt that I was standing on the outside (wouldn't suprise me if a lot of people feel like that). I think I prefer guilds with a small amount of really friendly members a great deal more.
