As most of you know, this week's random contest is a blog. I made one of my own, (in Paint, so no worries about it being stolen ) and I was wondering if anyone else wanted to share their blog, and what the inspiration for it was.

Here's what I submitted;




The .gif screwed it all up, but that's the only format neo would accept, and since it was made in Paint anyway I figured I'd just go with it.

This is actually a stretched, modified version of Caption Contest #57. I was searching for pictures for another blog idea I had, but I came across this and it was too cool to pass up. The 'Out of the bag' is a play on the phrase 'let the cat out of the bag', and the text border is actually the border of the Geratpiku avatar. (Chopped up quite a bit by cut and paste) This is what it is actually supposed to look like;



I really think TNT should allow .PNG, since it has the best quality IMO. No crits, please, I'm not really an artist anyway.

I appreciate it, but it's already been submitted. Besides, it's Paint. I really submitted for the fun of making a Blog, more than the hopes of winning.

Wow, that's really pretty, Amarise! I could never make anything that good in MSpaint, kudos to you. I've entered as well, but I'll wait until entries are closed before I post. Mine's not that good and I don't think a PPTer would steal it, but I just want to be careful. I made mine in PSP7 and its kinda got a pirate theme, mainly because Pirates of the Carribean is on the movie channels tonight and I need my regular dose of Jack Sparrow-ness.

Are people generally using neopets images or creating their own? I'm unsure whether to use an existing image or draw something up myself, not sure if I have time to do the latter really.

lol ty. I'd love to have a better art program, but since I wouldn't use it much it's really not worth it to me.

Trick, my advice would be, if you can find a really gorgeous/unique neo-made pic, go with it. If you find one you really like, spruce it up. If you don't like any, or if you want something that only you can make, go with your own art. (Once again, the advice of a non-artist. True graphics-makers might advise you differently. )

Anyone know a good way to enlarge images without losing quality? I have my image picked, it just isn't big enough

You can't really make an image bigger without either making it pixelated (if you're in Paint) or making it blurry (in Photoshop). ^^;

I like the gallery of heroes images for Garin and Jacques (even though I wasn't on their side XP), sooo I made a blog with them. Yay. Corny text is because shop blogs tend to have corny text.

Oh and my username is on it, so if you try and steal it, you'll probably be frozen, and look really stupid while being frozen. XP

Gah, I really wanted to make a Mipsy blog, for Mipsy is a brilliant character, the text was going to be, 'If you don't shop here, I'm going to set you on fire!'

Lol, nice NQII reference. There is a nice picture of Mipsy in the wallpaper section that should be big enough, try searching for 'neoquest' there.

Didn't have a clue what to put in for the text..so i just used what he says on the wizard page....it sucks =D

Aha, thanks! I'll use it, even though it's an evil picture. You don't even fight Kolvars in a cave, and she looks kinda freaky in the picture. She'll have to do though, now, for blogness!
