I have an avatar guide on my petpage that I have worked very hard on, but I just don't know what to do about the background. Can you guys please help me out?

Also, what do you think about the avatar page in general? Thanks!

I'm not sure about a background, but it already looks great. The avatars themselves make a great decoration. I've bookmarked it.

My suggestion for a background is to first put the different categories on separate tables. Make the background of the tables the same as that for each group header image. Then just have a very neutral background for the rest of the page... probably a grey/white background will look good. And try to make it overlap, not a large image that has it's borders conflicting each other....

As for a background, it looks fine the way it is.

Nice job,Neopets Addict! Only problem..Netscape users like me have to right click for the properties to see the text. You cant just hover and see it.

But,I'm sure most people can,so..good job!

Personally, I like it just the way it is! If you put a background on it, it will look too busy! The only background I would consider would be a solid color one if even that. You have a wonderful petpage there!

I like the way you've broken it up, and your banners are great, adding to the comment above, Just so you know Mac users can't see the hover either (but thats ok, we're used to being picked on

) Over all I think its a great start.

since you already have all the images it might be nice to either
a) have all your avatars in the "my avatars" section or
b) have your current avatar, or a few favorites (if you think the other would be too cluttered)

Anyway good start, I think the white is actually quite effective, if you wanted to add like a (thin) stripe down the side that might work, but overally I think it looks good!
