I also remember when you could find all the different map pieces for 10k apiece. Ah, those were the days.

I joined three days after kougras were first released (and I adopted one -- wow, I never realized he's almost as old as a kougra can be), two days after theme parks came out, and the day before we first "met" Dr. Sloth. Wow, I feel old.

-when fire pbs were only worth 250k
-when I bought a full lab map for 110k which was more expensive than usual
-the old abominable snowball
-the world before Turmaculus xP
-when you can bold chatboard topics to make them more conspicuous
-when the default grundo petpages were written in backward sentences o.O

I remember when...

- you could post links to pages outside of Neopets
- scammers would edit their shop HTML so it looked like an item was in there shop for real cheap (ie. 5NP codestone) and when someone clicked on it, it went to a fake login page, and when the person logged into the fake login page, the details got sent to the scammers email lol
- black pawkeet slots was still avaliable
- merchandise was first released
- Neopets hit its first 1,000,000 page views in one day
- Meridell was first released
- They changed the hidden tower URL
- There were no ads or pop ups
- They changed the shop navigation bar (and added more links to it)
- The old neoboards

and a few other things too

oh be fair, there's no pop-ups (yet)

Those were probably adware, nothing to do with neo.
