The avatar boards have always had a good share of creeps in there.

Right now, someone is posting pictures of Jazz and Cindy that they acquired off of Jazz's web-journal...and have filled thier petpage with the photos and harassing remarks...

People like that make me ill. O_o As if someone's appearance is something to make fun of. They've been making board after board about it, and obviously love what they are doing. Shallow, and sad little person.

I first started the neoboards with the Avatar chat board, stayed for about 2 minutes, and left because of all the ... holes in the wall.

I prefer the Neoquest board over any other, because the people there are very nice, there is no "status" over anyone there, just more popular members, but they aren't mean or anything like that. The board your talking on doesn't dissapear when you go back to the main board to see what other topics are in it and it just has a nice ambiance towards it. You will also see the occasional "I need to know where Lenny Bruce died!! FAST!!1!!" or the "I NEED PLZ HELP BLU I-SHADO!!!1!!11!". But those are easily ignored, and those who answer them just point them into the right direction of which board to go to. Also you can find abundant chat and plays, which really get off topic sometimes, but hey, what can you do?

Looking at that site disgusted me. If you can't get past appearences, you can't get anywhere, but to appear as a jerk to many neopian players, and a malevelont idol towards immature and uneducated players. Why not post a picture of how you look? We can ridicule you too. Strike that, we can do that based upon your previous and current reactions. As many have heard before, "Actions speak louder than words."

That actually irks the heck out of me. Jazz is on my LJ friends list. And he's a really sweet guy when you get to know him. Jealousy is an extremely evil monster.

Wow, I went and looked at that petpage and I am beyond angry. First of all, they had no business going to someone else's LJ (or anywhere else) and taking those pictures. I don't know if they're hosting them themselves or using Jazz's bandwidth, either way that's just low. And the captions! This is, to me, harrassment plain and simple. I really think this person SHOULD be reported - and I'm the last one to report unless it's something like an obvious scam, serious things like that.

I do see Jazz and Cin on the boards occasionally. Cin does not know me. Jazz does from the old Help chat (when it was a fun place to be, before being rude and report happy was "in"). I can tell you he has never been anything but polite, nice and patient with all the abuse he takes. He's also got a wicked great sense of humor. And there's no reason for it for either of them to be going through any of this except IMO, jealousy.

As to the av board. I stay away from there unless there's a new one that I think I can get (not a huge collector, not rich). I see people being outright mean and rude there all the time. And I don't like to say this, but I've been name-called by some of the cttm people because I don't have huge amounts or rare avatars. So I just read topics to find out about avatars, then leave - don't even post at all.

Of course, now that I'm a beginner battler, I get called the n 0 word at least once a day if I happen to post something. Therefore, I tend to lurk more than post unless it's someone even newer than me and I actually do have an answer for them.

Help I go to, and help I do where and when I can. But even there anymore I'm very careful as far as posting. Generally? Just things like brain tree, csshelp, the Neo html guide or doing a wiz search for a quest for someone.

Wowzers... That is disgusting... I pity people who behave like that...

Hopefully the board has been deleted cause I went to go look myself and I can't find it...although I may not be looking for the right thing. :/

Sadly, I frequent the FC (Fan Clubs) more than I should.

Today, I decided to donate items totalling around 20K. I posted for people not to ask expensive stuff.

Of COURSE I get people who hound me going "PLZ!!! I WANT A PB!! PLZZ!!" And what's really funny is the number of coherent people literally strangling me because I didn't give them a darigan paint brush or something e_e;

A lot of people on the Fan Clubs are beggars. All they do is ask for some fund or other, and rattle their tin can. Its pretty much like you could probably be EARNING more nps if you actually used that time begging for donations to do something constructive.

Oh, my favourite is this one. This person had a topic on the FC which was something like

And if you know, that just really really widens the board and makes is abnormally long and annoying to look at.

Of course I decide to post another board where my topic is something like "Well, how is everybody today?" and in the subject I put "Hrm.. well, I'm trying to bump the aforementioned board down to the next page so it isn't as annoying"

And then someone posts on my board "reported 4 spamming".

.... I just started cracking up? Reported? Reported for what? For trying to stop a board that was actually spamming?

Sounds like somebody has a CRUSH on Cindy.

Worst I seen was a "please look at my uswr lookup" that had such an inappropriate picture I want to puke.

I normally post on the SGC boards, but not lately. Don't really have any horror stories but I am very catious about what i write. Especially with the report happy peeps!

I used to post at the HC.. got to know jazz there.. he's a very nice person

Then HC got invaded by weird people (*cough*) so I moved to BD and lurked without posting. Occasionally I lurk in the AC too but for only about 5 minutes per time. I didn't find it a need to join any of the av guilds.. me and my friends are an av clique ourselves and I think we are still surviving pretty well lol..

The AC isn't that bad.. actually all the boards aren't that bad if you filter out all the weird things.. (pity only a few boards remain after that.. opps!)

One thing I learnt is never put on a "prestigious" avatar.. and people would assume you are a New Member.. and I am enjoying it fine being a New Member all the time

It sometimes saddens me to see what lengths people would go to for an avatar really.. (I mean scamming, hacking, etc..)

I neer use the chats in neopets because the few times I have gone in there it seems like it is full of immature chat speakers (which drives me up the walll) who just harrass anyone new.

Not all chats are that bad, I have been haging out in the Spotlights and Galleries chat and the people there are really nice, and for the most part can speak english. The board isn't that active though

I will have to check those out. I guess it is just a case of "first impressions" with me. My first few trips into the boards to see what they were about were less than pleasant so I have always put a negative light on them.

Your not gonna want to talk to me much then ....eh.
