Just because you join their guild, does not mean that you will be accepted as the person's neofriend. The person has to accept your neofriend request for it to work. And, if you did that in my guild, in other words, joined to take advantage of a guild member's generousity, the guild council would block you from the guild in a heartbeat.

Like was previously said, not the way to get a lab map piece. The time you spent doing all of that could be put to better use playing games, restocking, or reselling.
