I have been doing it for as long as I could, which is when we first found out how to block the top ads in IE. I have not even been warned.

Of course, for me, I believe they are still going through, I just can't see them. I don't know?

For some reason, however... any top ads I get are Neopian, I believe (haven't checked for a day or two... I haven't blocked them on my dad's laptop yet, so I still see them there)

EDIT: Nope, just got a Blockbuster Ad up at the top. :(

Ok seems that its ok to block top ads :) as long as no ones been warned or anything

It's worth a look at :) Most people here have been blocking these ads since they came out. Neo has no real way of knowing. The ads are 'sent' but never recieved :P Sort of like having a rabid pitbull tied to your letter box, the junk stuff is chewed up and destroyed by Ad-block before it even reaches you :evil:

Thanks you just answered my question I always wondered if the ads did appear or not or if they were blocked completely. Is it even when you are blocking the hosts?
