Hmm. I think the new style is due to the wide range of colors now available, as Windows 95 is slowly removing itself from the pool of computers in the world. Now that there are higher speed connections, we can have bigger files delivered to us in the same amount of time instead of the simple color fills.

I don't see how an 80x80 image stealing vast amounts of energy away from plots. I could list several things that do, but c'mon. I also don't think that file size has anything to do with it either as the images are small enough to where it doesn't make much, if any, difference. It seems more likely that someone new was hired or someone just wanted to try something different. I like the style for certain things, but there are more than a few pets I wish they'd put as much thought into. Some new colors just make wonder if Adam's drawing again.

Don't get your hopes up. They probably just hired a new artist with a different style. They've got about 15 artists, so it's unlikely they're all going to start drawing differently.

I will ask Marissa about it, however.

Hmm, I really hope this is the style in which they'll release new items in the future, but it's not likely, since then the old items would remain the same, plain looking, while the new items would start coming out in this "sparkly" style.

And I really doubt they would do a make-over for all the items ever released.

I'm just confuzzled.
