Yes, but there's a difference between getting bonus stuff and gaining an unfair advantage.

I'm all up for Premium members getting a bonus daily, bonus games, even a bonus world for all I care. But I do NOT like this idea, because it grants Premium members an advantage over non-premium wiz-snipers trying to earn some NP.

Well, maybe not so much of an advantage as various people have pointed out, but enough to make a lot of people angry about it.

Actually I have been refreshing at the super wiz for at least two hours and I just got banned right now.

I'm really glad they have it though! I've already made 15k profit from just searching codestones.

I don't think its unfair since we are paying for it.

It's not really that great. Takes longer to load, it has to load the entire portal page too.
And it's not that much of a difference then the regular wiz. I got about the same prices from the regular shop wiz.

So it's not as 'super' as you think. Only good thing is that its on the portal page. Easy access. Thats all.

Do you think being allowed to pay real money to get neopoints is fair?

I wouldn't know as that isn't what is happening. We pay more for certain perks, it just happens to be that this one can potentially make you more nps. As for "fairness", it's tnt's game and they make the rules so if they decide something is fair in their game then that's what it is.

But like others have said it takes a long time to load and probably doesn't give you that much of an advantage, other than that more people are now wiz sniping.

It's really not a big deal I think.

I'm not a premium member, but this doesn't bother me too much. It doesn't sound like it gives people that much of an advantage. It's annoying, yes, but they DO pay (way too much) for certain privileges -- be thankful they've just been small privileges so far.

Now, where are the perks they promised long-time members? I've been with Neopets for five years (next month) -- how about rewarding my loyalty, huh? ;)

Yes, and I'll tell you why. It's not as though Premium is limited to a certain group of people. Anyone who wants to pay for it can have it, especially now that ALL existing Prems (who have completed their trial) are allowed to refer other users. If you think we're getting this wicked advantage over everyone else and you don't want to be left out, by all means, I'll send you an invitation.

The way I see it, we're paying to support our favorite game. A few little perks are a nice way for TNT to thank us, IMO.

Well, I'm not particularly fazed by the Super Shop Wizard thingy, it isn't that game-breaking IMO (if the bans are really as quick as stated). What I disagree with is the mindset that we should be allowed to pay real money to gain an unfair advantage at the game.

The problem here is some people cannot afford to subsribe to Premium, or they don't have credit cards and their parents won't allow them to do so. Do you think it is fair that accomplishment in a virtual game should be judged by one's real life monetary capabilities?

Psh, for a site that stresses no player should have an unfair advantage over another..... it really is unfair! :( Unfair advantage at wiz sniping! I was gonna seriously get into it once the whole duping thing calmed down, but this is... just... urgh.

As a shop wiz sniper, I can tell you that it really isn't too helpful for anyone who shop wiz snipes. It takes a long time for the page to load, then you have to manuever your way to the bottom of the portal page to find it. Then, if you are in IE, it takes awhile to get to the shop because a new page has to load. So, by that time, the item is gone--that is if it is one of those items regularly targetted by shop wiz snipers, like codestones, map pieces.

In addition, you get shop wiz banned if you do too many searches. I haven't counted them yet, but it is way less than the 300 on the regular shop wiz.

However, it is quite handy if you are looking for something and want to find the cheapest price, which I do when I am looking to buy a plushie. It is nice not having to wade through countless refreshes. And, nice if you want to see why a particular item isn't selling in your shop. You can see the top twenty lowest prices in one refresh.

It is useful, but I really don't see it as an unfair advantage.

That's exaggerating the issue a little bit. It's not as though we're forking over a hundred bucks and instantly turning into neo-billionaires. The few perks we get are really not that much of an advantage, and plenty of people play the site and do very well without them. If we were getting a free plushie paintbrush in our inventories every week, then I could see your point.

I am in a position where I am unable to become a premium member. I do not earn enough nor would my parents let me sign up, even though I would really like to become a member. I guess I'll just have to wait, it's a shame, I really enjoy playing, but cannot sign up due to my position in life. I'll still play though.

Even though I have premium, I think it is stupid and a waste of money.
Neopets was different when I joined, no adverts, very few sponser games, little merch, and no promotion ( McDonalds) ( as far as I knew).
Now it seems like like everything is about the money for them.
I mean this is a kid's site. How many kids have a credit card?
I just hope they eventually come to their senses.
And like I said, even though I have premium, I hope that one day, the game will be fair for everyone.

In portal prefs you can move it to the top.

I do agree with that, Neo was way better back in the days before ads and mountains of merchandising. If I could go back to that, I'd give up Premium in a heartbeat, no matter what perks they offered me.

Well you can wish they will go back to how it was in the early days, but that's not possible. There are more players now, meaning it costs a lot more to run the site. You can't wish for all the new players to go away so the site is small and cheap like it used to be...

I think that, as Premium members pay, they should get some perks. I do not think they should get advantages.

Perks, in my opinion, are things like having the ability to adopt more than four pets, or getting a *default* avatar, or getting to beta-test games... that kind of stuff.

I do not like the idea of getting an advantage over non-playing members. For wiz snipers, this is really bad. I mean, sure, you may get banned easily, but, still, it seems easier.

In my opinion, this is the same as Premium members getting a five-second headstart for restocking, or getting X number of points added to a game score in order to get a high score.
