Are you saying there is no more Rose Wine or White Wine? Or is that still in existence. Because those are two pretty expensive rare & retired items, and I'd feel awfully sorry for the people losing something worth so much.

What of Jhudoras Swirling Cocktail, Skeith Juice Cocktail, Prawn Cocktail Achyfi, and Coconut Cocktail?

The value of these items should not deflate, becuase there still aren't any more coming into the economy...

Actually, Cocktails are always alchy. It's just a word to put in for a concoction of other liquids.

I was on the battledome boards last night, and they were talking about this as it happened. One person I saw had a cocktail/interesting drinks gallery, and had the wines and other things. You could just see this poor person, spending tons and tons of money to get these items, and having them turned into apple juice.

But people with drink gallerys have it the best, the juice can still be incorporated. What about someone who has a Rose Gallery? Apple Juice doesn't really fit does it? Or a white gallery, considering the White wine turned into Grape I think.

You think they coulda turned it into something a bit more romantic... like Ambrosia or something... there's something lost in the defermenting of Rose Wine into Apple Juice.

They could just change the flavor text around and just say it's a glorified pirate-named juice (much like a certain Sobe drink)

Exactly. Why do that to kids who have spent so much of their hard earned (in most cases) Neopoints, when you can simple change the flavor text like you said. Cause that would make perfect sense changing it to what you optioned.

Thinking about it now, couldn't they change it to Virgin Rose Wine, or Virgin White Wine instead of apple juice?

Robert, that's exactly what I was thinking when I posted. The wines were so rare and so expensive, the only thing they really were for was galleries. I know of someone who has a rose themed gallery. I'll have to look to see if they had rose wine. I can only imagine what they must have thought if they did have the wine and suddenly have sparkling apple juice.

Even though these are still rare, retired items, it's just not the same. You know?

Ohhh, virgin wine? That would never fly! Seems to me these shouldn't have been touched. Or at least change the name so it keeps the rose, white, etc. and change the word wine to drink, cocktail, something like that.

As far as all the cocktails (can you even type that word on the neoboards?), not all have to have alcohol. Thinks of cranberry juice cocktail and other fruit juice drinks that are all called that - no alcohol in them.

They can't have Virgin in the name, because that's a sexual term...

I think it's stupid. Barely anyone even had the wine anyway. Like three mentions of wine is gonna corrupt a child. There are things way, way worse than wine on the Neoboards that may actually really bother a kid (I mean if you're eight years old and see the kind of boards posted there from time to time, you're gonna be freaked out), yet no one acts against that... hm.

As for the "Well you can't view the Neoboards if you're under 13!" arguement I sense will come, some kids are gonna want parental permission so they can Neomail their friends and stuff, and I'm sure a lot of those kids are gonna click on that mysterious "Boards" link they never could click on before... I know I did when I got permission (er, made an account and said I was 13).

Long story short: Neopets should stop giving into the petty complaints of crappy mothers and tell them to shut up and raise their kid right. The end.
