however, i was scanning through all the new TCG cards from the Mystery Island set... and i came across this...

so... i guess it can be confirmed that the maraqua monster is most definetely a really big and uglified slugawoo.... maybe the slugawoo will get a little revamp? because the one in the cards looks much different from the item on neopets...

If it is a Slugawoo, the shell on it's it's back seemed to have completely turned around, because on the little one, the whorls are counterclockwise, but on the big monster, the whorls are clockwise...kinda like the Poliwag -> Poliwhirl thing.

And on the card, there doesn't seem to be any whorls at all.

I have some Slugawoo's stored, but only because they're Ultra Rares.

I always just assumed it was a slugawoo. It was close enough for me. Ouy of all three of those pictures I like the big maraqua slugawoo the best. He's the coolest looking. I perconally think that the TCG one looks horrible. It's eyes are all huge and overly cartoony.

I'm not too fond of the TCG slugawoo too for the same reason. Its just too much like a baby, and not a very appealing baby. I'm just stocking up on them for the np :P

Haha, I'd probably do that too if I had enough np to stock up on them in the first place :P

Additionally, there are no spikes on the back, no whisker-like things from the cheeks, and no fin in the back...

Yes, but the whole point is that it's a mutated slugawoo, that's why it looks different in my oppinion.
