So...you're sure that they were frozen for THAT reason, and not something else?

That is so dumb. It's not like the people who bought them KNEW that TNT would make a mistake and make the items a lot more. TNT needs to apologize for their mistakes. Freezing innocent people doesn't help anybody!

No, I do freely admit that TNT could simply have found a lot of cheaters today that decided to post about it. Some of the people who were frozen weren't exactly the nicest people in the world, either. But the fact that so many people who bought the cutlass were frozen is certainly suspicious to me. None of their 'reasons' for being frozen say anything about the HT item. Some say using a downloadable program, some say attempting to scam others out of their neopoints/accounts, ect. And I know some people who were frozen who, I believe, would not have had anything to do with cheating. I honestly hope that it's a mistake, and that the freezings were for different reasons. It's simply sheer volume that tends to indicate the reason I have mentioned.

*Edit* Like I said, the freezings have stopped, so either neo has figured out they made a mistake or everyone who looks suspicious has been frozen. Either way, hopefully the innocents will be restored within a few days and neo can go back to normal. Just watching the BD chat for a while, many people think a lot of the people frozen were either multi-buying, or new accounts that looked like multis. Which is not uncommon, as neo usually finds it strange that a newbie can have a lot of np, even if it is earned legitimately. I highly doubt every single one of those people was a multi account, but some probably were, and the rest should be restored. But pretty much everyone I've seen thinks that neo froze those people due to their own mistake.

I am only less than halfway on getting the G-Sword. Sigh, I guess I would be a mediocre battler after all.

I think that it is quite unfair those who bought the sword for cheap, they could have just "refunded" things. Or maybe did a rollback (which would affect a lot of people, so that is not exactly good, either).

*thinks*

Actually, I'm pretty sure the Sword was originally at 1.6 million. =) I believe they just mispriced it at that price and originally meant for it to be 16 mil. As for the Hat, I think it was at 1.7 but I'm not 100% sure.

Also, I think the blade was increased in price before people actually found out the icons on it. o_O

Yes, I've heard about the freezings too. From what I've heard though, people were frozen for multi-buying the swords. Hopefully nobody was frozen for buying one legitimately, but the unfortunate opposite seems to be true with your post.

-------------

toy - That doesn't make you mediocre at all. =)

As for the rollback suggestion, I really don't think they can do it. People would already know which Hidden Tower items would be retired and the icons of the new items. =)

i just logged in to neopets and realised some commotion going on in the bd neoboard. it was mainly about accounts getting frozen for "towering" the cutlass at 1.6m and g-sword retired (out of most players' expectation)...

needless to say, i think TNT should unfreeze the accounts of those players who bought only one cutlass at 1.6m. logically, if its not activated, i don't think many players would tower more than one.

as for the g-sword, yesterday, there were still players looking to buy g-swords off others for 12.9m, apparently confident that it wouldn't be retired. i wonder how many of them missed it due to this situation and not due to lack of resources

I was wondering whether to get Gsword or SoS first.. since I ultimately wanted both.. guess what I got >.>

I thought SoS was longer in the tower and would retire first but guess not

wow I can't believe they retired g-swords!!! I remember in the battledome chat once they were saying how if they ever retired the prices would inflate to 40+ mill, I really hope it doesn't come to that :(

As for the freezings, well I'm not suprised. tnt has never been all that fair when it comes to freezing accounts, even when they are the ones who are actually at fault. *sigh* I doubt it'll change though. It's sad for all those who were affected :(

OK, so they put the cutlass in the HT and mispriced it, right? And then froze people for honestly buying it? And they froze people who bought g-swords? If someone was multi'ing, then I can understand freezing. But if you only used your main account and only bought one, and it was TNT's mistake how on earth can they freeze you?! Are the players psychic now? Like they knew the price on a brand new item was wrong?

This one should definitely be fought, and fought hard by whoever was frozen for it. This is one of those awful TNT did an oops (like the game glitch last summer) and is making the players pay for it.

That would be logic, but since rich people like buying things for more than they're worth to stick it in their galleries, it'll probably be way over the 16 mil mark soon.
