male faeries definitely need to make an appearance, but no faerie king! neopia has quite enough kings already, but only one queen! it's not fair.
Good point... maybe we should all start harassing TNT to give us a few more queens, princesses etc.
Well if there's any consideration, you don't seem to include Princess Vyssa (current ruler of Sakhmet after the Coltzan plot)
I didn't see there were no female royalty, but there really aren't very many. And Princess Vyssa tends to be a little on the quiet side...
Anywho, back to male faeries for a second. Even after I logged off yesterday, the male faerie discussion kept playing on my mind. Not because I'm addicted to neopets or anything, but partly because of the fact that some (not all) people are all too willing to dismiss the idea too easily.
Anyway, after seeing Crew's pic (which I love btw), I thought it really wouldn't be that bad if male faeries did look like that. But then, of course, there are so many people out there who would have some problem with it. Which is fine. It's a big site... you can't please everyone.
But then, last night, an idea struck me that I wish I'd thought of yesterday. I know of 2 places where you can see a perfectly acceptable, masculine male faerie: the Australian (animated) movies
Fernully: The Last Rainforest and
Ferngully 2: The Magical Rescue. In both, there's a male faerie named Pips (voiced by Christian Slater in the original). I haven't been able to find a decent pic of him from the movies, but here's a link to a fanart of him:

Anyway, I'd be happy if male faeries looked like him. Yea, he has long hair, but there's nothing wrong with that. Besides, he's a creature of nature, it'd be sorta weird if he cut his hair.
If I can find a pic of him from the movie, I'll post it (or a link to it)...
