Speaking of userlook ups, i just saw this as I was updating mine:
"Please remember that all your REAL stats must be visible. Hiding or covering them (and retyping the info yourself) is not allowed."

Now that is something I am actually happy to see has finally been put in writing. I think they need to post that in bold in the News too. Can't tell you how many times I've nicely suggested to people that they change their css because their stats aren't showing. Just trying to help, honest!

Usually I get told either to mind my own business or that they got the code from someone else or that "everybody else is doing it". Maybe this will stop the people who are using that "list" code - just has a list with links to their pet descriptions, shop, trade but no shield, date joined, etc.

Oh that thing? I've seen warnings posted by people I know pretty well on the HD who are not attention seekers - don't cover your shield! Or if you have to use a custom shield, don't let it cover the real time you've been on the site. I'm not really sure if any custom shield is allowed to be honest. If you use one or are planning to, I'd write in and ask.

I have to agree with all the people who hate music on the site - me too. I'm on broadband but it still drives me nuts, 99% of the time i'm listening to something anyway, and even if i like the music used, I'm still going to be annoyed that it's interrupted the song i was listening to.

And covering up sidebars is something i've seen people warned for, even just when they'd made their own sidebar with the same links but different pictures. Covering up the little flash ad, and the shield, i've seen people warned for too - in short, don't cover stuff :P

Geez, I hate music too, no matter where it is, but most of all in shops. I mean, I visit shops for the purpose of buying things, not to stay around and hear music play. Music not only slows the loading speed, but sometimes also repulses potential customers. Graphics and banners don't help too.

But I do understand how those people feel when they put music in their shops. They are just trying to make their shop more enjoyable and pretty, that's all. The problem is that no one really cares how your shop looks/sounds like, just the pricing of your items. The same goes for user lookups. Custom made backgrounds can make it more confusing for the visitor to find the information needed, and music just makes me leave that page at once.

Holly

I've seen warnings for sidebars too. The ones that have been warned for and cleared all seem to be the ones that cover the stuff under Log Out - the flash thing, the search, language and link to us. I'm going to guess because that's disabling things. Also people who somehow and for some reason disable the ability to click the sidebar navigation - those when they're found are also warned/cleared.

The consensus for shops/lookups, etc. mainly seems to be no music! I thought I was in the minority having a huge dislike for that.

I'm going to add my voice to the chorous of people who find music in shops annoying and disrupting. I'm on a high speed connection but I still go out of my way not to shop at stores with music. I can't imagine what it would be like for people with dial up. If you still feel like you want it in your guild make sure to poll your member demiographic first. Not a great idea if it turns out everyone has dial-up

However i don't think that neo made it against the rules -- it just disabled the easy way to do it.
