Indeed there is... More than I initially thought! I often frequent Garden City when bored or avoiding something too

Just spoke to my brother, he said he hasn't seen any Neopets plushies get delivered to his McDonalds in the northern suburbs yet.

I suppose it doesn't really mean all the much though, if they're not supposed to be opened until Friday they could have been delivered and put somewhere when my brother wasn't on shift or they could still need to be delivered.

It's a bit disappointing that we couldn't get a positive confirmation in Perth, I guess it just means we'll have to wait and see...

Well i'm gunna ask all my freinds at school who work at maccas, and ask the people up at the macdonalds in garden city to see if they have them yet... they might release them in perth a bit later?

They better release them though!

Eeeep! All your perth people confuse me.... Oh wait. There's a garden city in Perth as well as in brisbane. Okay I'm just being silly now. I hope you guys get the happy meals out there it would be a real shame if you missed out. Only one more day till they're officially released.... And i'm not working tomorrow so i don't get them half price until Sunday... Grrrrr I want an Ixi dammit and i won't be able to even get one till tomorrow... Then I'll have all three... Then I plan on getting another set of three about 3 times

Good news for all you perth people

At the macdonalds in gardencity, they HAVE the new neopets happy meal toys, but wouldn't sell me any until tomorrow when they are officially released. Pity. So that means we do get them! yay!

And anyone who works at a mcdonalds in australia, can you buy just hte toy and how much are they?

yes you can buy them separately, i believe when my friend bought her carebears they were like $3 each?

and i used to live around garden city, but not any more so fingers corssed they don't sell out in perth, otherwise, i'm in a hole. a very deep hole.

yay! There must be alot of Aussies who play neopets if they are willing to try this, I guess. I can't wait till they're in Sydney, which they'll mostly likely be in first since its the biggest city hopefully we can buy them individually instead of only with happy meals though..

On a side note, garden city is getting REALLY crowded nowadays. All those middle stores that they're putting in getting so annoying... (Just socks my smurf! They have underpants!)

hehehe, i think i'll ask for one of their paper bags as well... but all my friends already know how nuts i am about neopets lol

does anyone know how they are going to run this promo? like is it going to be like the US one when you have those bags you can't see into and have to guess? and is it going to be 2 toys per week or 1 per week?

fftopic: how many perth people are there here? lol because there seems to be quite a few of us and well we all know *and occassionally haunt* garden city lol thats really kinda freaky

There are 3 toys a week (That I know of... When I get more offical information, like the crew info sheet we were <b>supposed</b> to get on Wednesday grrrrr! ) the first of which being Ixi, Lupe and Scorchio. The promo runs from today (Oct 1) until early to mid November.

As for the pricing and such.... The toys are $2 each (In Queensland anyways), and can be brought completly seperate to the happy meal. Hell you don't have to buy anything <b> BUT </b> the plushies if thats what you desire.

The toys are very similar to the american ones, packaging and all! The bags are white with coloured print. It tell's you which species of neopet it is but not the colour. Inside the bag is the plushie (Duh!), a Neopets Trading Card, and a mini ad for neopets trading cards and neopets for your mobile phone.

Good Luck with collecting as many different coloured plushies as you can... Just remember, for $10 you can get the Happy Meal AND 3 extra toys. Uless of course you work at McDonalds, then It will only cost you between $5 and $7 depending on your stores policies on the crew discount.

If the Australian promo is like the US I wish you all very good luck in trying to get them all ... there were 15 species with 6 colors each, plus the 4 mystery items and 15 different cards (got 11 out of the 15). No I did not get everything. It was very tiring going from one McD's to another trying to find them ... each store seemed to get different stuff every week. And it's just alot of plushies to try to collect and gets expensive.

I do have a complete set of aishas (to go with the regular sized ones I have the full set of) - but I did end up on ebay *gasp* to get the last one - orange. And I have a set of the mystery items.

I was actually going to just put all the other plushies up on ebay as a lot and sell them all. They've taken over! 37 extra plushies, and 8 extra cards (lots of duplicates).

Hoping Neo will put the checklist back up for you all, that was a help to me.

Yeah, the techo is so badly made! I found a neopets promo card in a book once. it was a green lupe. i think someone used it as a bookmark and then didn't take it out after returning it.

well today they come out... and i'm sure as hell buying some. I'll put piccies up as soon as I get home, but they do look kinda mutated. Can't really expect much for happy meal toys tho!
