Anyone can edit that...

That's stupid. What if someome came in and messed it up? I don't think anyone who reads it should get to edit it.

I don't see ppt either... I don't see anything about fansites. Well, it was edited at midnite today (8 hours ago), I don't know how I'm not seeing about ppt... Edit - nevermind. I found it on the Discussion page.
The advantage of the Wiki system is that everyone can edit it (we're actually doing a project about wikis in school right now). So if someone messes it up, you can just re-edit it. Also, the Wiki system keeps backlogs of every Version, thus if it is deleted / majorly distorted, you can just say "edit" and then "restore [xx] version."

Actually, they haven't done their research. Official Neopets figures (The ones that they send to companies who might work with them) is that while there are 85 million registered accounts, the number of actual users is estimated at 23 million. So obviously these people are just full of it. Rolling Eyes They don't use over inflated false numbers to 'sell' the site. The actual figure they use the most to promote is the 'stickiness' of the website, the average time users stay on the site per visit; "An average of 4 hours 2 minutes per month [Nielson//NetRatings - June 2004 (US at Home & Work, Domain)]. Ranked 1st on the entire Internet for sites > 600,000 uniques." That and unique pageveiws per day are the actual focus. NOT the number of accounts.
Again, if you know it better, just press edit, correct the facts, and voila ^^
