but it still runs slowly, if they ported into opera i would be using it, as it is i haven't the time yet. it take me on average 5 times longer in FF than in IE, netscapes moderately faster i think, but i need to re-rognise booksmarks..

i used IE sometimes in combination with slimbrowser, which gives IE the tabbable interface, however it acts strangely. maybe i shoulkd read the manual *shrugs* :P

If you see my sanity, get it to give me a call.

Each one has its own benefits.

IE is fine if you're only restocking one shop at a time, and if you have some sort of popup blocker.

Firefox is much better if, like me, you restock in three or four shops at once, because multiple instances of IE use more resources than one instance of firefox with multiple tabs.

I use firefox 1.0, although I wish I'd stayed with 0.7 - it had better skins, in my opinion.

Well, you guys convinced me to try FF. Don't know if I'll use it for everyday browsing but it sounds good to use with neo.

The new version has a thing come up when it blocks a popup (its at the top of your page) So you don't miss anything. Its acctually making my computer work faster...

Why not use both it never hurts!

I have 3 browsers for 3 accounts for maximum safety. So I haven't been hacked for over a year now since my last accounts got hacked 5 times.

I suppose this is a dumb question but can you have IE and Firefox on the same computer and switch back and forth between the two?

Yes you can. I actually use firefox for my main account and mozilla for the guild account I manage.

Just wanted to add Firefox is great, IMHO if you're a restocker - it has tabbed browsing and uses less of your computer's resources by the tabbing than many IE windows.

The only problem I have with using Mozilla Firefox on Neo is that when playing Pyramids or Solitare, the alignment of the cards are off, and random events really muck up the alignment more. But clicking a card, corrects the problem in the refresh.

I think you need to download the Adblock extension, you can get it here.
Once it's installed, there should be a little "adblock" tab under all the flash banners. Just click that to block them.
BTW, I use FF as much as possible. It works a lot better for me.
I like the tabs, and adblocking capabilities. The fact that some stuff on Neo doesn't work as well is just a minor annoyance.

Firefox crashes less than IE for me in general, so that's what I use. I like it because you can keep everything in one window, too. And the icon is so cute! :P

Firefox owns IE in every possible way. Speed, security, features, Firefox has it all.

Opera sucks, BTW.

Personally, (You can decide what you want) I like using MyIE2. Not to be confuzzled with the newer Maxthon (Which is the same thing under a new name), but the good, old fashioned MyIE2. It's got tabs, Pop-up blocker, Content Filter, All the functions of IE, plus it has a handy little thing that over-rides the disable right-click in Neopet shops. :P

Also, it has this funky new feature called mouse-action. You hold down the right mouse-button and move the mouse to create an action. (For example, up-down is refresh; move to the left to go back, and right for forward.) It makes browsing easier.

*ahem* I'm finished now.
