1) The space station flies past....but it is a space station over a planet. So wouldn't that actually be the planet revolving?

Nope, the space station is orbiting the planet, obviously at fairly high speed (most artificial satellites orbiting Earth are pretty nippy too, I've seen a couple). Plus we're looking at it through high magnification, so it appears to move faster- if you look at a planet or the moon through a telescope sometimes it can appear to nip off at speed too.

Signature, eh? We'll see about that...

Plus...I figured it'll make it a bit easier (on everyone).

Just go to linky, dump http://www.neopets.com/altador/astro.ph ... tar_data=1 in there and press submit and wallah Bob's your uncle!

Just so you know though it's scaled down... so while the stars are still the same sizes the distances between them are halved. Hope this helps in some way.

{BTW if any of you are wondering why in the nine hells she's going to all this effort for something that Neopets probably just put in cause it looks pretty... it's called procrastination... ie I'm supposed to be learning for something or other.}

Wow, that's perfect. Thank you so much.

I'm wading through all of this (and thank you SO MUCH for the automagical starmap generator, because I SO did not want to assemble mine from screenies cuz I'm lazy like that :roflol: )...

I noticed that I had exactly 6 purple stars, so I selected them all (just using "add star", not connecting them) but they don't match any known constellation. Anyway, I notice that not everyone has exactly 6 stars of one color. So that's probably too easy.

What I wish this to be is, like, a big game of Mastermind (or *cough* Time Tunnel), where when you've added the correct 6 stars, it tells you so. Then maybe you can try to connect them or whatever. But I don't think I'm going to get my wish. :P

Edited to add: Just for the record, here are my 6 purple stars. See anything? 8)

I love you Darkfire!!

...

I read somewhere that we're not suppposed to be looking, that we're waiting for more clues, but I was wondering has anyone found a constellation?

I keep finding constellations and then realising that they have less than 6 stars! Is it the constellations (TCG) that we are using to specify the coordinates, or something else?

If so there are only a couple with 6 stars including The Hunter, The Dancer, and The Sleeper.

*pulls hair out*

Just a quick note.

I keep hearing that "you have to have 6 stars" to get the submit button.

However, in my own looking around in my own star chart, I have gotten the submit button now, on 4, 5, 6 and 7 stars.

I am thinking that perhaps it comes down to if you randomly just happen to click on a star within a constellation that has a specific number of stars in it, that it will allow you to submit when the limit of stars within that constellation is achieved. (Possibility).

Unfortunately, I found this out last night before I went to bed, so I don't remember where those stars were anymore.

Just a thought, How can we be expected to find any one specific constellation if we all have random star configurations, and they are all different?

Go then... there are other worlds than these...

I am collecting data of when peoples maps have changed. For me it was every two hours and the second map was never for long. (been refreshing it for the last 8 hours.)
So, what I need is you to do the same. ^^;;
All you need to do is put up the time it changed, ok. :)

Someone on the boards said, that after submitting the 6 you can continue drawing the lines without clearing. :)
