I remember totems. I think Tim might still have some on his account. (I would, but my first acct. got frozen. ) I remember the Harbor as well.

I remember when the np you got from playing Kacheek Seek were actually considered a lot and the toughest level was a bookshelf.

I remember voting for the new Gelert.

I remember before the inflation and official shops now charge a bundle for items. The carrot and bread used to be the cheapest food items. You could buy them for only a couple neopoints in the offical shops.

I remember when you could fight characters from Cartoon Network (Power Puff Girls, Dexter, etc.) in the battledome and you got special sponsor abilities.

I remember when the Battledome first came out and there were Leagues and League Tournaments. Also, there was a huge battle against the faeries and they gave you weapons if you beat them.

What are totems??? What are special Sponsor abilities??

I don't know really, I joined shortly after those. When I joined, it was shortly before the Terror Mountain Murder Mystery (Ah, good times, good times). I also remember...

-Most of the stuff you guys have been talking about.
-Trying to help run PointZero (The biggest guild in Neopia Central at the time
-Actually running PointZero when all the other guild leaders got too busy (or maybe they just stuck me with it. Keeping over 1000 people happy is no fun )
-Playing Neopets while listening to Ride On from FF8 (Now that song always reminds me of my early days on Neopets)

And now for general site stuff instead of stuff I did.

-Switch-er-roo. I was so good at that game, and it was one of my best NP sources. Had they not removed it, and I wasn't frozen, I'd be making cash hand over fist with how high the maximum bet would be.
-When upgrading your NeoDeck cost money
-When NeoQuest came out... and it could only be played at night.
-The Virtupets V2 quest. I wondered what would happen if nobody saved the kids in time, although I did quickly notice that the monitoring screen was totally useless.
-The old Virtupets design, with the elevator in the back.

I think that's it.

You use to need totems to go to the different worlds. You would go to the Harbor with a totem in your inventory and the boat driver would take you to Mystery Island or wherever.

You got them for visiting certain sponsors and such. Tim still has Scorch.

I also remember when you could go to the Rainbow Fountain and you got passes from visiting certain sponsors.

When my sister signed up and then forced me to sign up a month later by signing me up, The chat messagas had glowing and really odd font effects. Some to the point of being illegeble.

Pick a gelert? was that afterwards? I missed it I didn't care about neopets until the ruki came out. For once I could have a pet that resembled my story characters and style.

Never did find the result of that gelert new pose contest...

I think they just combined all the gelerts together to get the one we have now

I remeber totems. I won the murder mystery. you can see in my account oliver_mao. I remember when NQ came out. i could only play it when i came home for luch since it was never up. and sponsor battle attacks!!! I still have all of them in some of my older accounts. Oh man! and remember the old games like hungry skeith? that was so fun! And when you could equip cards! i joined so early. the news was barely out. I remember the old explore page with just the mystery isle and a picture of the tiki tack man in a chair. i wonder if that picture can still be found

Practicing at the Grundo Gym (I even remember what it looks like... aww, I liked the Grundo Gym... I remember -I think- that there was some option to buy an energy snack or something every once an a while? And I remember that to work out you'd have to move your mouse from one side to another across the green button thingy )

When Baby Paint Brushes and Faerie Paint Brushes were 200k (okay, that wasn't too long ago... like, half a year ago?)

When 100 NP for the lottery was just such a rip off - One hundred whole neopoints? That was alot for me back then xD

I remember playing Kacheek Seek all the time and considering get 22 np from a game was like, so totally awesome - duhhh

Magical toys, even the colored (purple, etc) and limited edition (poogle) ones were around 14k...

The way to scam in shops was putting an item that would lead you to the fake log on page Or changing the price at the last second from 10 to 99,999...

The old pets and petpets, before the makeovers... I mean generally the time when they wouldn't do makeovers... it was not bad, actually

Nerkmids were 36k, snorkle snout, bag of peanuts and etc. costed around 100 NP and I never bought one even once...

Tiki Armour was 300k, MSPP almost a million and FQD 500k (okay, that was just a few months ago but it's still memories )

I remember when Spooky Foods were actually worth something because you could only get them from like the Tombola. I remember the Eye Candy and Mummy Spaghetti brough in like 900np. Big money. lol

I remember when there was just the regular old shops. No extra worlds at all.
I remember there only being a few games to play.
I remember Dice-A-Roo being THE way to make money (b/c of the prizes you win)
I remember having a sucky little theme park.
I remember selling bottled faeries for 100np
I remember when there were no petpets, I remember when there were no colors you could paint your pet...
I remember when I first sent in a pic to the art gallery. Something went wrong and the pic didn't attach to the email. Know what happened?
Someone actually wrote me back saying that the picture didn't attach and that they were excited to see it.
And when it did send? They wrote back saying they recieved it and complimented it. (really wish I could remember who it was though....)

When the Kyrii was a Fuzio...and before that a Mellish.

I completely forgot about the battledome leagues...That was quite a while ago.

Most of it has been mentioned but it's brought back so many things that I forgot about.

Grundo's gym. I really miss that!
The theme parks!... wow that seems like ages ago.

When the shops page didn't have all these sponsor type things.

It would be nice to go back to how it was back then, just for a day... but it'd seem really odd without all that is there now.

Oh and when gormball was actually quite popular.

I remember that and buying one and selling it someway down the line to so I would have enoungh money to buy my Hypno Helmet.

When the Auctions allowed you bid multiple times with the money you had on hand (and it didn't disappear from your hand until the auction was over) for multiple auctions in the hope you would be able to get the item you want.
