yeah i agree I think that picking a lower percent would be a better answer..

It's impossible because how can we know how many will get it right if the answer is the percentage of how many get it right?

TNT has NO way of knowing the answer, and there IS no right answer.

This is stupid and impossible, and another guessing game, if any.

TNT will knows the answer by having the results at the end of LC, which is when there will be an answer. It's impossible to us to know the answer, but not impossible to TNT.

And it's maybe stupid, but it's more than a guessing game. Guessing a random number would have the lowest chance to win. Thinking and trying to predict the area of the answer leads to maybe a low chance, but a better one than guessing a random number.

Kudos to wonder weezel for making me this cute set. ^_^

this is WAY more than just a guessing question... theyve had stupid ones like "how many people entered this" or "how many people got the last answer wrong".... but this is more than mere guessing.

you guys.... i think they actually put alot of thought into this one. i dont know WHAT to put as an answer. think about it. They said round to the nearest whole number. that would probably be 1 or 0, because probably .08 of the people probably get it right or something.... or, a question like this anyway... but im sure there are ALOT of smart people out there who will do the same thing...... if lots of people put a "0" or "1" down..... then the people with the "correct percentage" would be ALOT higher if everybody puts the same answer.... but then again, if it were a higher number, and EVERYBODY guessed lower, then the percentage rate would be low.... isn't this crazy? its really confusing once you really think about it.

They didn't put any thought into this. This is a complete guess for us AND for them

The question is what percentage will get this answer correct. How can they even know it? Oh, that's right, they CAN'T!

Does anyone else see my frustration?! All the LC's ever are are rocket science math or stupid guessing games, and this one is the worst. Because TNT has no way of knowing the answer for this.

Another wasted week.

They probably won't even explain how this one was solved later, either... because there's no way to solve it, at least not if you take it at face value. If they want to do stupid guessing game LCs, they might as well just tell us to pick a number between 1 and 100.

Well neopets uses keywords to get them right (like the out to lunch sign) if you had out to lunch in your answer you get it right. So what if you put every percent 1-100 in your answer with spaces and you automatically get it right :D Lol.

eh, I never get the LC right, I'm just not a math type person so I almost always try to figure out some way to work the puzzle then half the time I end up guessing anyway...but this...this I have no clue as to an answer

posted in another forum..by someone else

Unfortunately I didn't think this through before answering and I put 1% since I figured that everyone would guess a different number and only 1% would get it right. But read the last part again.

'Please round to the nearest whole number. Please do not include any characters in your answer other than numbers. This includes spaces, punctuation, or percentage signs. If there is no correct answer, we'll pick whatever answer comes closest to being correct.'

The answer lies in the first sentence. Remember that when you right a percentage out mathematically, it is a decimal. For example, 1% would be .01; 67% would be .67; and 100% would be 1 (a whole number!). So it doesn't matter how much percent of people get it right, the only option is 100% because its the only whole number!

Please correct me if I'm wrong but this seems to make sense.

we have been talking about this theory there as well as here... does this make sence to any of you? I am really starting to trust this one

But they're asking for a percentage, not a fraction or a ratio. According to the directions, I think that putting 67 for an answer would equate to 67%, not 6700%. I still think the question is just as it is, especially because of the last statement, "If there is no correct answer, we'll pick whatever answer comes closest to being correct."

It asks for what percent will get it correct, so the percentage sign is already implied in your answer. It's just like asking someone how many fingers they have, and they respond with 10. The unit of fingers is implied by the question. At least, that's what I think, so I don't think that that is a correct deduction

Even if you're not meant to give the answer as a percentage, that logic doesn't follow. 0 is also a whole number (it's the natural numbers that don't include 0) so anything less than 50% would round down to 0, not up to 1.

Actually, I tried doing something similar a couple of weeks ago, and got warned for it. So be careful.

It probably wouldn't be 1, because a lot of users will guess one, therefor if a lot of users are correct, it wouldn't be one, but say, 23%, what if only one percent of the users guessed 23, then we'd end up with 1 again...

I just confused myself...
