In the Hannah and the Ice caves plot comics, the first scene where you see Kanrik(chapter 2), is practically identical to the first scene in Fellowship of the Ring where you see Strider/Aragorn, right down to the window, cup on the table and candle.

I think it's the 'no more parachutes! Dr Jones!' line from Indiana Jones and the Tample of Doom.

Aliens. Also from Aliens: "My mother said there are no such things as 404s, but there are, aren't there?"

Casablanca: "Of all the broken links on all the websites in all the world,
you had to walk into this one..."

The Space station has some rather fun announcements too:

Star Trek: 'McCoy to the Sickbay, McCoy to the Sickbay...'
Yet another Star Wars reference: 'All garbage disposals on the detention level will be shutting down after lunch'

"Sarah, go back to your room, play with your toys and your costumes, forget about the baby."

Most definately not from the Goonies, I've been a fan of the Goonies since... well... a long time. =0P My sister has loved that movie ever since it's young days. We even somehow saw an uncut full length movie of it once with all the deleted scenes that are now on the DVD and everything. Anyways...

You forgot to close your quote tag Kess. :P

Oh, and I don't play Magic, but I know there's tons of Magic references on the site, like the Rainbow Pteri (TCG) and Sword of Fire & Ice.

I know this one gets brought up a lot, but that's from the Goonies.

I thought it was from Labyrinth. Oo; I knew borovan's old lookup was from The Goonies, however.

It is from Labyrinth:

There is no Sarah in Goonies.

Heheh. Y'all are gonna deck me for this one, but I always get Goonies and Labyrinth mixed up- see, I've got a friend who's crazy about both those movies, and I've only seen one of them. Sorry- I meant Labyrinth!

I thought that was an exact scene from a certain "B" movie series about vampire hunters ;)

"I hope you know your vampire lore Van Helsing!"

Except that article came out before Van Helsing :P

Neopets Article wrote:
* "All your 404 are belong to us!"--Neopets has its own custom error/404 messages. This particular one is a variant of "All your base are belong to us," a mangled "engrish" phrase from the game Zero Wing.
* "I see dead pages!"--Another (404) reference, this time to the "I see dead people" quotation from The Sixth Sense.
* "But why is the page gone?"--Another (404) reference. Alludes to a quote from Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl by Captain Jack Sparrow ("But why is the rum gone?").
* Pan Galactic Gargle Slushie--An item on the site, and a reference to the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
* "Blue Pop Slushie" and "Sour Blue Slushie" have the description "It is blue da da dee da da da..." which are the lyrics to a popular Britpop song by Eiffel 65 called "Blue".
* In the gallery of evil page, the creature on the book has a Pikachu in its mouth.
* "Huggy Bear" is a type of pet your Neopet can raise, and is a combination of the "Huggy" and the "Cool Purple Teddy Bear." This alludes to the character Huggy Bear from the television show Starsky and Hutch.
* One of the mini-games, called Neoquest II, has some interesting "features". As the creator said, the four characters were named after characters on the Everquest test server.
* One of the stamps in Neopia, the "Lost City of Phorofor Stamp", sounds unusually like "Lost Site of 404".
* The item "Pink Poogle Toy" has the description "This lovely pink poogle moans about banner ads and frozen accounts when you squeeze it! :P." It is poking fun at one of Neopets popular fansites Pink PT (http://www.pinkpt.com), which has a reputation for users expressing their displeasure about these aspects of Neopets on their forums.
* "It's a place where you put people to forget about them." -- Flavor text on the Oubliette card of the Neopets Trading Card Game. This is a quote from the Jim Henson movie "The Labyrinth."
* The art on the Neopets Trading Card "Fire and Ice Blade" is in imitation of the "Sword of Fire and Ice" card from the trading card game Magic: The Gathering.

Wow, there's so much The Little Mermaid on the new plot.. :P
Isn't the bottom one just like one scene from the movie?
I can't find an image of it but I'll show it if I'll find it...

Yep, you're right, there's an identical scene in The Little Mermaid. However, as I sadly can't find a way to screenshot movies, these are the closest stills i've been able to find:

From the plot:

I'll keep looking!

Yeah, that's exactly what I thought when I saw that scene, 'Hey, that looks exactly like the ship scene in the Little Mermaid!' I think a big chunk of the plot is based off of that. Not allowed to go to the surface or mixing with land creatures sounds rather familiar to me. :P

The character of Van Helsing was created in Bram Stoker's Dracula, written in 1897.

I don't really recall this one, but then again I don't remember the beginning of Princess Bride that much.
