I saw that too, which makes me wonder if these are actual names people gave to their Kadoaties. It would be interesting if it was, since i'd name one after myself and then take a screenshot when it came up. But, I digress.

This av is too expensive for my tastes, and chances are nearly everyone will forget about the Kadoatry unless they make it so you can win a decent prize from it, aside from the av.

The katadoatry gives no prizes other than trophies and avs and such but people will still be trying to use it for those things. all the famous people and rich people will have thousands of feeds in a month or two. I can already see borovan's lookup. 9999999 feeds

so I am confused.. do we know how many you have to feed to get the av?

Maybe you don't have to feed them x number of items to get the avy? Maybe you have to feed them an item of rarity (insert number here)+?

It seems it may take multiple attempts for feeds. I think ganet_jaxx (with the Darigan Eyrie) had fed 21 when I checked

I saw two people who had fed them 25 times for the gold trophy last night. Neither got the avatar.
Feeding them a draik egg (rarity) also doesn't seem to do it.
They do occasionally ask for dice a roo foods but you'd pretty much have to have them in your inventory and have a fast connection. I tried 5 times last night with items already in my inventory but wasn't fast enough.
Also looked up several of the names last night - some are actual pets, not kadoaties though. Some don't exist.

Hm.. I have a theory.

I don't think it's always going to be food items. The description of the game never mentions food specifically... only items. I hope they switch to other kinds of items so it gets easier later.

I have a new theory on the kadoatery avatar (mew). I was reading the neopedia article (which is conveniently located just above the avatar notice in the news page). And it talks of this wocky taking his kadoatie to the kadoatery while he/she is on holiday for 7days.. Well my theory is that the kadoatery is in the neolodge and if you have a kadoatie attached and put it in the neolodge for 7days, it will be taken care of.(it always ways your pet is on holiday below it in the lookup) . So maybe the actual game kadoatery isnt the way to get the avatar.. Being nice to your neopet and feeding it along with the petpet in the neolodge could be the way.. Anyway I put one of my pets in the lodge yesterday, so I will know in 6days..

My faerie kadoatie has been in the lodge for almost a month now. I tried feeding my pet but that doesn't work. I gues ill try playing with it.

I'm not to sure about the Lodge idea since the news also says that the avatar can be gotten .

The news did say that the Kadoatery So maybe the item-other-than-food theory is a possibility. I mean, they are directly telling us that the pets are fed, but bored and we could do something to make it more enjoyable. But it looks like if you were supposed to give it something other than a food item someone would have at least seen those items listed, if not already gotten the avi.

The Neopedia article is interesting in another way, though. It seems to me that it emphasizes the wailing the Kadoaties do at night. The Kadoatery also seems to emphasize this, as all the images change to wailing, crying Kadoaties after about 11PM NST - even those that have been fed. So put on your thinking caps and come up with some way to give the dadgum things some light! Maybe there is some other item (light related) you should have in your inventory when you feed one (at night.) What do you think??

BTW, legendmen, you're not the one who was warned about having too many items in inventory are you?
