In the Kadoatery, the Kadoaties ask for items of food. So people stock up loads of foods hoping that one of the kadoaties will ask for a food they've got, so they can click on the kadoatie and beat everyone to feeding it, and get the trophy. As you can imagine, it's far quicker than seeing the item name, wiz searching it, buying it and coming back.

but i don't see how having the food for the kadoaties in your inventory compaired to having various items in your hands when doing the basic jobs is any different. I know of one of the kadoatie feeders that got frozen last night right after feeding them. Their name sat there, i like looking at names i know from time to time, and saw the account had been frozen. Agree though, rules need to be posted, not just generic stuff cause i am sorry, i still don't see how it can really be cheating to have items in your inventory.

Phew. Glad I don't have to worry about a firewall. I have a extremely large inventory come Advent Calendar time.

It's not cheating to have items in your inventory.

It's cheating to have more than 50 items in your inventory for the sole purpose of feeding as many kadoaties in the kadoatery as possible.

That's the line that was crossed.

I have to agree with you 100%, shapu--as usual.

However, it seems that whenever Neopets creates something new, lots of people get frozen shortly thereafter for figuring out a way to get around the rules. You would think that when Neopets is creating something new, they would be able to think ahead of some of the possible ways that people will try to get an advantage over others--and they would take some action to prevent that from happening in the first place.

Because if given a chance, some people will cheat. The temptation to get the trophy would be too great for some folks--particularly if they can justify to themselves that what they are doing isn't really "cheating."

Like the delicious cookie sitting on the kitchen table. Mom says don't eat it and then she leaves the kitchen for awhile. You and I wouldn't eat it. Most people wouldn't eat it. But, some people will succumb to the urge and take a nibble or two on the underside so Mom doesn't notice when she returns. So, why did Neopets leave the cookie on the kitchen table in the first place?

What I mean to say is, didn't someone at Neopets think that this type of thing would happen when they created the feed the kadoatie thingie? Couldn't they have fixed the inventory beforehand so that it could only hold 50 items--even those coming out of the SDB? After all, you can't send anyone anything if they have more than 50 items in your inventory. You can't buy anything if you have more than 50 items in your inventory. Why can't they make it so you can't take anything out of the SDB if you have more than 50 items in your inventory? It just seems like such an easy fix.

seriously, guys, IF all of us here have not heard of this warning but were told of this method to play the kadoatery, how many of you would naturally associate it with cheating? not me for sure and i am not desperate for its trophy. it seems that with no prior warning that it is a cheat to overload your inventory to ease through this game, all of us would have thought this to be a good and acceptable method. we are all so accustomed to the situation of overloading our inventory that it seems a natural progression to apply that situation to our advantage. moreover, this is not so obvious or even controversial. firstly, it is obviously not a glitch but an implementation by TNT all along. secondly, this is carried out in one account and thus different from controversial offence like group inflation. lastly, everyone can overload their inventory hence not one player can be said to have an unfair advantage over the others.

in fact, now that i think of it, overloading your inventory involves more sacrifices. while you have 300+ food item in your inventory, you cannot do any quests or restock unless you happened to have the quest item already. it is also not that easy to stock 300+ different food item; it is hard to implement and requires a fair bit of patience. as some of you pointed out as well, you can't easily get rid of the overloading through quickslotting once you are tired of the kadoatery.

Well, like I said earlier, they should just make it so you simply can't have more than 50 items in your inventory...period.

I think this assumption by TNT that anyone who does have 50+ items in their inventory just to sit at the kadoatery and feed them fast is kind of unfair. Some people just keep alot of stuff and they may just have the item sitting there. I'm not saying that people won't try to cheat or take advantage...I know full well they will! That's why I think they should make it impossible to ever have more than 50 items in your inventory.

I've often thought and I have said before that TNT comes up with these new things (trophies, avatars) and doesn't think them through - they're almost encouraging people to cheat or scam because. Like the fqd and the other uber rare/expensive avatars. How many people have either scammed or been scammed for the doll, the MSSP, chokato, etc. Then there's the "lending/borrowing" and people charging "fees". And game avatars - people have let others play a game so they can get the avatar - and yes, get frozen if found out. Then there's the cocoroller av. People were "selling" those codes. Don't know if that's still happening.

TNT needs to think things through before they release things like this.

if it is made such that you can strictly only have 50 item in your inventory..it could create more problems. trades, auctions or random item drop from RE and quests would disappear (?) if the inventory limit is accidentally breached.

Well, in the first place I don't see why is it so difficult to adhere to the 50-item rule. It only takes a few seconds to go to quickstock and deposit all the junk you've collected in one day into the SDB. In fact, my inventory is almost always empty, since I either donate or deposit things I don't need.

for players who like to refresh a lot, like me for example, i never like to leave my inventory with less than 20 item, for obvious reasons. a comfortable number would be in the high 30s, including my trading post stuff. there are easily many circumstances where your inventory can go over 50 even with much caution.

a better solution would be to just prevent item transferring from the SDB or shop to the inventory when there are 50 or more item in your shop
