Argh it is an avatar! *steams but not at person directly above just in case you were wondering and my this is long now* TNT no longer put aim icons in the avatar folder, it's a new character, it's just appeared on the servers.

There is a teeny chance it might not be but let's just go with the flow here and say it most likely, almost certainly will be unless it gets re-adressed sometime before ixi day. Or I shall charge at you all with a rusty spork :evil:

And yes actually I quite like it too, it looks almost comic book like to me though I'm not sure why - perhaps the font? No rule saying all avatars have to be the same though, the Scarblade one can attest to that!

In other news, not unreleased but new none the less - the battle magic and defense magic shopkeepers have been revamped:

The Grarrl being part of the current species item revamp which has covered grarrls amongst other species, the Aisha I guess is just because they wanted to

The Aisha was revamped because she was based off the old Aisha, IMO. I remember her from when I was new to neopets.
Really, I never even KNEW she was a girl. O_O That's news to me, I thought she was a guy.
Battle Magic Grarrl isn't that cool in his revamp, but least he's not the old grarrl pose. He could have got dressed up more cooler,but beggers can't be choosers.

I hope TNT upgrades Buzz items soon then.

He's been waiting for almost 2 years to look like the normal buzz of today.

Robot Snowickle was revamped? I can't tell the difference.

Wow, that Buzz has a pocket of fat under his eye. It should really get that checked out or something.

When the Neochat was being turned into the Noeboards, they required Beta Testing.

During the Beta Testing they needed to trial avatars, so they used some of the pre-existing AIM icons as avatars.

Available buddy icons get placed in the buddy icons folder and not in the avatar folder :| Even buddy icons that are useable avatars are renamed seperately.

Either TNT uploaded it wrong or it will be an avatar.

Yup the *only* buddy icons left with avatar in their url are ancient now. People had been checking that url for a while and now it's appeared.

I really don't get why people think quality is any indication of whether something is "really" an avatar. Look at the ghost krawk avatar, the scarblade avatar - there are a ton of extremely lazy avatars and a ton of very detailed aim icons.

Plus the fact that this avatar isn't even that bad, it's flashy yeah but I have certainly seen worse.

At the end of the day it has just appeared on the servers (obviously as it's a new character never mind anything else!), there's only a 1% chance it's been uploaded wrong as it's been a looong time since they last did that so yeah. It's an avatar.

Ahem, in other news as part of the massive revamping the Robot Snowickle has been revamped.

Now it's all non-flat

Yep, even though I dislike it, Trick is right, it is an avatar. AIM icons in avatar URLs are ancient

JK though I found mine from another site but other people just search for url addresses.
