I feel no shame buying several at a time.

thats what i did last promotion.. i just bought several single toys....

the only time you couldnt do that was the first teenie beenie promotion. God that was bloody hell for me. I collected and still collect beanie babies, and boy, i had to figure out which stores had which toys, and i would drive around trying to get the dumb things... i never hated happy meals so much in my life.

so back on topic... .... i plan to not even eat mcdonalds if i dont need to. just go in there like a toy store and blow all my dough. :D

The McDonalds near here have a policy that you must buy at least one Happy Meal, but as long as you buy one you can buy extra toys without buying more meals. :) Which isn't so bad. :P I'm going to try to get more of the toys this time. Last time I got at least one of each species except for one. I'd like to get at least one of each species, and definitely a pink poogle toy. :)

Crap. If you can get decent prizes from the rare item codes in the plushies I may have to buy a few even though I don't really want them....

:-)

I'm right there with you. I don't want any of these, although my sister is a penguin freak so I might have to get some for her and for my 2 yr old.

I saw the display at one McD's, and made my boyfriend buy me a happy meal. I got a blue Bruce with a Feepit clip. :battar: I'm itching to redeem my prize code, but I guess the page doesn't work yet. They should have made the codes easier to find, they are on the plushie's little star tag in really teeny typing.

I'm still trying to get my hands on the jubjub ones from the last promotion. People are asking INSANE amounts for these plushies on ebay.

If it's any help, I can put you through to a friend I go through on Ebay whom I buy Neopets related things from every now and again - I know he has quite a few of the previous McDonalds Neopets toys still for sale and they are really quite cheap.

He's an Australian (like me :P) and he doesn't charge an arm and a leg for plushies like some other Ebay sellers do.

They're early! I thought it didn't start until the 8th. So first is the Bruce? Is there another species available as well? I'm hoping they go by the order they have them in on the checklist page; poogles and pteris are last and those are the only ones I want.

Just what I needed. Last time the McDonald's promotion came around, I got all of them but two, which I preceeded to buy off of eBay. (And NO, I did NOT eat at McDonald's to get them. I bought them all separately).

The date they're supposed to start selling them is 08 July... but, it doesn't necessarily mean every store will cooperate. Of course, there may be circumstances surrounding it, such as running out of the current toys and having no other alternative but to start early. Thankfully, there aren't any strict penalties like there are for other things being sold early (i.e., the million-dollar fine Microsoft threatened for stores selling Win98 early).

As for buying the toys by themselves, some stores allow it, but they're kinda pricey. Around here, the toys run around $2; the cheapest kids meal (hamburger) is around $2.50. So, if nothing else, you could give the food to your dog and keep the toy. If you know someone that works at a McD's, you could probably get them cheaper. At the store here, employees get the toys for $1; for a while, it was 50 cents.

lol I asked my mom the other day and she was like, "HECK NO!" XD Apparently all my The Dog plushies and hamtaro plushies (last last halloween, burger king XD) and neo plushies from last summer are "dust collectors"...*ahem* well...I don't really think they can collect dust when they are piled on top of each other in a box...can they? *nervously chuckles* I suppose I'll just have to force my friends to sneak me out...hehe. There's really none that I like, 'cept for the PPT...last promotion there were Ixis <3

=) Yup, Bruces are first. I got a Yellow Bruce with an Ona clip  I likes the Ona.
They're being mean this time around tho... the packaging is a pretty dark blue, so I couldn't see at all through it... there's no white on it at all, so you can't look for colors :(

Apparently the codes are working now: I got a Kiwi and Cucumber Sandwich and 400np.

Not necessarily. I got a green kiko today with a feepit clip. I got 500 np and an apple and cheese sandwich that I sold for 2900
