Hey, if someone is good enough to enter at the last minute and win a piece, they deserve it. It's fair. And it's not like someone can find a game with no players, send a score and win a piece -- each game has a minimum number of players needed before pieces are awarded.

There are plenty of games with only a handful of players with low scores.

Really easy to play a game at the last minute and get a piece. Need another score to reach 5 players? Log in to your other account and submit one.

Okay, THAT is cheating, and people who do that get frozen. Taking away the less popular games wouldn't stop people from doing that, either (even the more popular games are quiet in the middle of the night, so cheaters would just play them late). It would just punish those of us who play fair -- which is the good majority of WC players.

Anything that makes fewer WC pieces go out into the economy is just counterproductive -- the entire reason TNT made this new change is because they don't want pieces to be so expensive and they think this will help. It won't. I can see even now that there are fewer pieces on the wiz, and if I wanted to I could easily go out and buy up every single one of a certain piece for 30k or whatever and price them at 99,999. And since now other players couldn't go out and earn just that piece, they'd have to pay me for it, and I'd have cornered the market -- the very thing TNT is trying to stop here.

You can only play games on your main account. Logging in a second account to get another score for a WC will only get you frozen. I wouldn't recommend trying it.

Should I give another supply and demand lecture about your "low score" idea? If a game is truly always a game that has low scores ... the trend will be that people will start playing this game *more* ... because it is "easier" to win pieces at it. So things will begin to balance out over the long run.

As cran stated, there have to be 5 *separate* people playing a game minimum anyway for pieces to be awarded. Plus ... as more people play ... more people earn pieces. So it is already awarding fewer pieces for the lower popularity games.

How do others earn NPs on the site? Restocking? I was just thinking they should make it such that when you buy an item in a shop ... it will give you a random item "of similar quality" ... in order to cut down on the people creating monopolies. Yes: I realize this sounds like a dumb idea ... but it is basically what they have done to the WC maps.

The WC was the best thing that happened to the site. It gave "gamers" a way to gain NPs. They have tweaked it many times from the beginning ... some changes I *really* liked ... some I have not liked, but realized they were necessary ... but this one is just plain *wrong* and has impacted the WC in a *major* way that doesn't even begin to address the "problem" they are trying to fix.

If you look in the FAQ you'll notice that scores from different accounts in the same household won't be matched with each other. I guess you could play one from an acct at your house, then run to a friend's house and use your other acct, but that seems like a lot of work for one piece:P

My wife and I sometimes enter the same challenge if it's a game we're both good at, but our scores are never paired with each other. Of course she was smart enough to hoard her pieces instead of converting them so she actually has something to sell.

How do they define "the same household"?

My score didn't register for the hour!

If you are not matched up against a random opponent for the hour, there is no way for it to count for the hour.

Opponents in the same household playing in the same World Challenge game will often be blocked from getting matched up against each other as a cheat prevention measure.

If you have an unmatched score, it will carry over to the next hour.

If you have feedback, this does not solve your problem, or you wish to report something about it, please click here.

Probably from the same IP address.

I didn't know about the IP thing -- that's a good way to stop cheaters. I like it.

However, I still do not like the inventory thing. I have now earned 22 pieces. I could only put 14 of those in my picture. I have six doubles and one triple (Tyrannia 2.1). And from what I can see (checking out the wiz and the TP), some pieces are still rarer than others, so it looks like it could take a while for me to get the six I still need for my picture. TNT, if you insist on using this ridiculous and unhelpful new system, at LEAST make it so these "randomly selected" pieces are all equally common.

I've gotten TRIPLES of several different pieces over the past couple days. I managed to trade some away for pieces I needed, but I couldn't get Tyrannia 2.19 for the life of me and finally had to buy one in a shop. And last hour I won a Volcano Run and a Destruct-O-Match II WC, and I got two Tyrannia 2.2 pieces! Bah.

And the hoarders... they're still hoarding. There are only 3-7 of some of the Tyrannia pieces in shops, and the prices are steep. I'm betting other maps are the same, but I don't follow any but Tyrannia and occasionally Faerieland. Anyone know?
