Abusing your inventory?

I must admit I agree with those who wonder why the inventory can't just be limited to 50 items.

One thing that could be done, though, to protect against accidental loss of items.

If you have more 50 items, there could be a cusion of, say, 5 items. If you have 50-55 items in your inventory, when you visit it, it will say, "You must cut your inventory down to less than 50 items," and present the user with a quickstock menu.

If you have more than 55 items, nothing can be added to the inventory, and if you bid on an auction but lose the item to the aether because you had more than 55 items, then tough luck for you, it's your own fault for not paying attention.

I'm not getting you here... what does having to refresh a lot to do with having to keep more items in your inventory? Is it a sort of prevention against the Pant Devil? I mean, if there was anything valuable in your inventory which you didn't want stolen, you might as well put it in the SDB to prevent theft, right? o_O

there was a case when, as i was removing a trade lot and putting it up again, the pant devil struck but luckily stole a junk. most valuables are lost when in transition. of course we are not foolhardy enough to really taunt the pant devil by leaving valuables unattended in the inventory.
