I honestly think that is a very good idea. I'm sorry:( You seem like such a nice, friendly person. I hate that someone has taken advantage of you like this. You don't (well no one does) deserve any of this to be happening to you.

Please let me or us here know if there's anything we can do and please keep us posting on what's going on. Be careful! We care about you.

Yes, count me in too. No one who is a decent human being ever likes to see anyone victimized. And, if you ever figure out who this jerk is, I'd love to hear the details.

Ya I'd do what morning says and make sure to move all neopoints and items to a different account. And only get on that account at your house.Make sure not to leave any signs of that new account around though like as a neofriend or anything.

Right. I'll talk to him/her/thing later. I think the person is chinese, so if we figure out some more stuff, we could help you to identify who it is. HEY! I've an idea! Hyn, go back to the library and log onto neopets. See if anyone is sitting near you and look at other computers to see if they have neopets on them, minimized or not. If you see someone with it, you should politely ask "May I see your account name? I would like to add you to my neofriends list." Then make them show you the account name and if it's yours, you've caught your hacker.

Sorry to hear about your situation. Do keep us updated.

In his shop, he has this passage "Note: If you find a mistake in this shop, neomail me, for I do not like mistakes. If it is not an intentional mistake, I will give you a Can of Neocola (you have to be the first one to neomail me though). "

Hmmm.... first one to neomail him?? Apparently, he is trying to get people's username??? Wonder if it's possible to get info from TNT like the ip that has been accessing yr account? That way, you may be able to know whether he's near you. Or even better get the info on where your items are transferred to.... But that's just my wishful thinking.
I'm not sure whether he's chinese, the words don't make any sense.

Do your schools' computers need to be log in? If it does not, i will strongly advise you not to play neopets on it or use your email. Or does it allow you to access the settings? That's even worse..... Someone may be able to access the cookies or files from your computer if they are in the same network.

Good luck

Ok, wow, this is a serious-ish problem. I'm going to pass this on to a monitor.

Well, what you could do is make a sort of temporary account--use it to get freebies, play games, restock, etc. Put your pets on your current account in the neolodge for 30 days. Transfer all valuable stuff and nps to the temporary account, just in case the guy accesses your account again. Then go back to your old account in a month or so.

Maybe if the guy sees that you haven't logged into your account in a month, he'll forget about you and go onto to someone else (poor someone else, though).

I'd still report the guy--just send neopets all of the neomails he has sent you and say that you think the guy is harassing you and has illegally accessed your account. It can't hurt. If he is doing this to you, maybe he is also doing it to others. And, who knows, maybe if Neopets gets enough complaints about him, they'll use their freeze gun on his IP address.

Congratulations! Wow you have someone looking out for you.

Now just be very careful, keep your contact information out of the public eye, and be aware if you do use the public computer - check that no one is watching you as you log in, clear the cookies off that computer (at least the Neo one). This person may just start a new account or have other people watching you. Gah I sound so paranoid, don't I?!

Thanks for posting and continued good luck!

And here's hoping he doesn't just make another account.

Do you have an online journal or something like that where you've posted stuff like your real name and friend's names? It's amazing how much you can learn by reading someone's journal. Once a random person (who found my IM name on this site) contacted me, refused to say who he was and started saying really weird and borderline offensive things, so I did a search on his IM name, found his LJ, and started asking him about his hamster and his trip to Mexico and his grades and stuff -- totally freaked him out.

I can also vouch that the online journal/IM name/etc. etc. does carry a huge security risk. One day out of the blue I received an instant message from some guy who said that he had stumbled across my picture while doing a Google Image search, became interested and followed my AIM name to my LiveJournal.

Luckily 1) My LiveJournal is friends only, so he couldn't read anything anyway and 2) he's actually very nice with good intentions. We became friends and still message each other.

But it just goes to show you that things always seem to be connected and easily accessible on the Internet. If not just for your NeoPets account but your own personal safety - be careful. :)

Hi bubba, ok, I thought I read that it was possible to be logged into the same account on 2 computers. That's something I think needs changing to be honest. Especially since it's against the rules to share accounts - and that's why alot of people would be doing that.

I don't think that it's a problem. Most people arn't doing it to share acounts. I a lot of people use multiple computers and it's quite convienent. (A laptop and a desktop, mom and dad's homes, etc.)
However i think neopets needs what so many other services have (AIM for example) the ability to expire all sessions for a given username. That way you wouln't have to worry if you think you might have left yourself logged in someplace

More sympatheticaly good luck rebuilding your account. Be sure and take precautions even though this guy's frozen now

If when one guy logins, the other is logged out, the hacker can repeatedly login to log you out. If you can't login without logging out, you can't login to change your password on a public computer in which you forgot to log out. I like this system fine, even though it poses some security risk. Sorry about your acount. Hope that the 1 minute restocks helped you out. ;)
