Hmm...I tried fighting in the Battledome with Sharon (one of my 'mutated' Usuls) and she is still Blue there, but she is Mutant everywhere else. Pity, I wanted her to be Mutant while battling.

It is a good thing that I saw this thread before I went to check on my pets today. I would have gotten a bit upset before I would have realized it was a joke. I do think Mutant Usuls are cute though, in a pitiful, mutated way:

It's too bad my cousin didn't get on Neopets today. I think he would have loved to see his Lupe as a Mutant

The lab turned my two pets into a pteri and aisha, they were originally a chomby and kau, neither can be mutant. And now my aisha is mutant, one of the worst mutant colors, but I like thias idea. Its fun.

I think if anyone, newbie or not, was stupid enough to abandon their pets without first checking the news or at least trying in some way to find out what was going on (and without noticing their pet's colors are still listed correctly in quick ref and on their lookups), they deserve what they get. No reason TNT should avoid doing a fun joke because a few (hypothetical) people don't get it.

Well, there are people dumb enough to do that.. Just check the boards, now people will go blaming TNT on what happened.. It's a bit harsh saying the these people deserve what they got, but the were hasty in abandoning their pets without even checking, and thats just plain stupid... :roll:

I don't think it's too harsh, and I'm tired of coddling stupid people. All they had to do was check the news to find out it was mutant day and draw the obvious conclusion. At the very least, if they thought it was a glitch they should have written TNT to see if this could be "fixed" before up and abandoning their pets. I don't feel one bit sorry for anyone who abandoned a pet today.

i agree with you, cranberry! abandoning a pet just because you were too stupid to realize it was a joke or too lazy to check the news, well, that's your own fault. not TNTs.

i love having rivertheta as a mutant for one day. mutant aishas are delightful! not as delightful as maraquan aishas though. so i'll be glad as well when she changes back.

this was a great idea. just because your pet looks different is no reason to not play today. pets are almost secondary to the neopets experience. you can play games all day long and never have to even look at your pet.

I've noticed something kind of funny...a lot of the people I've seen complaining and shouting "WHAT HAPPENED?!?!?!" on the neoboards are ones with baby neopets. Just a funny observation
