I have a mac computer so I can't install the tool bar, because I use a different web browser. I think it's unfair that only people who have PCs and use IE or Firefox can get it. I think that's stupid because I can't get anything from Tarla now, I have no chance!

Only Cingular users can get to Lutari Island. Sometimes, Neo stuff just isn't universally accessible.

I dont think the Tarla thing is very likely to happen again this year anyhow. Just concider it a random event since it is not highly likely many people will ever recive the Tarla event due to either being away from the computer or not havin the toolbar itself.

It might be a little cynical to say so, but it looks like the giveaways were some sort of ploy to get lots of players to install the toolbar. A paintbrush and rare petpet is a pretty big giveaway after all, and one that messes with the economy to boot. It wasn't just a random act of kindness. It means that they wanted lots and lots of new and returning toolbar users, ASAP. The question now is why.

Maybe the toolbar isn't as profitable as they thought and doing something like that would increase visibility of the project as a whole. That's obviously worked.

Yeah, that's for sure. But giving away something else desirable yet not so pricey (like a codestone or a more common petpet) would have worked too...I mean, a Starry Paintbrush!! Sheesh. Overkill, isn't it?

It could be that the toolbar may be a key part in the new plot, which would explain why TNT would want as many people as possible to have it, (perhaps time-related alerts to do such-and-such at a certian point to advance?) and what better way than to give away something really expensive. Personally I wouldn't have installed it if it had just been a codestone.
