You should be able to sell items to shops for how much they are worth for example: A Pterattack Action Figure estimated value is 7000 NP. While in the Shop Wizard is only worth about 300 NP. Neopets should make one shop to sell their items for their how much they are actually worth. We will get more Np for those items that are worth less in other shops.

I'm a restocker. Please no. Let the markets stay the way they are. :)

I think he was referring to just one shop Spira. :P Although it seems similiar to the Shop of Mysteries, what fun would it be if we could not control the prices on items? Avatar items for instance inflate because of supply and demand, which in my opinion should stay that way, although some things are way overpriced for a reason. One of the previous threads was amused by the estimated price of a secret lab map (300nps) while it sells for 60-70k on the wiz, it's all about what people want, and how much they are willing to pay for it.

But seriously, this is an awesome idea! This would make Neopia mostly fair unlike the Earth that we live upon. :P

The problem with that is that it'd eventually get stocked up with so much stuff like Battle Magic and Defense Magic, that either a user or staff would have to empty it out on occasion. It's too much trouble. We know that they sometimes forget to reset the scores, and this will just add to the troubles.

...your point? They could make it so that every 30 minutes all the items that were not bought go to the money tree or something...they did the same thing on Rune Scape and it works like a charm. ;)

I personally think it would only work if there is a only a slight difference between the estimated value of the item and the what it's currently selling for (say 100-500 neopoints max.) Otherwise I think things would be a bit out of proportion even if they were cleared out.

If the pawn shop idea is accepted, they could limit it like one item per day to pawn. And since there are millions upon millions of neopians, the store would have thousands of pages of junk. And like many people have said, it is just too much of a hassle.

I would much prefer a "Retired Items Exchange" which takes retired items and randomly gives you an un-retired item of equal rarity (but probably not equal price).

I was thinking about something like this just a few hours ago! I must have, like, felt your vibes or something :P

Anyway, this would help out newbies and stuff, but the economy would really suffer. I mean, it would be completely different. It would unbalance a lot of things. Maybe instead of all this estimated value stuff, you could have a feature which searches for the cheapest of a certain item on the shop wiz, or the average price on a certain page. And then, you could sell the item for that much. Otherwise you'll have shop chocked full of wooden blocking shields and blue aisha plushies.

The only other problem I see with this is the shop would get overcrowded. Simply clearing the shop would be a bad idea, since someone may dump a rare item there for some odd reason (imagine a SuAP). And if the shop is simply cleared, the item is gone forever. Thats it. Finito.

Maybe, like Kostya suggested, donating leftover items to the Money Tree after around 1 hour.
