OK, the typos are driving me crazy! It's bad enough that they misspell the word "surprise" in Fruit Suprise Rock Slices, and misspelled "asparagus" when the clockwork asparagus chia was released, but how hard is it to spell the word Mynci?

Check out the name of the new darigan toy: Image
It's a Cymbal Bashing Mycni Toy.

So, I figured it was a fluke. But, no! This guy has the same problem:

He's a Nose Picking Mycni Gnome.

Maybe it doesn't bother any of you, but I was a proofreader for a newspaper company for awhile. And, heads would roll if typos were ever found in the published paper. After all, we were paid to make sure the paper didn't look bad.

Sure, typos are inevitable. But, a pet's name? No excuse.

Tested made this fabulous set for me!!! Isn't it great?

Maybe evil Myncis are called Mycnis, like the evil Korbats that were transformed into Barbats :P

like you said, its fine to have a typo here and there, but to misspell a pet's name that THEY named in the first place.

Yeah, I agree a pets name is kinda inexcuseable(sp? kinda funny in this topic). And Mynci is an easy pet name to spell, I mean if it was Tuskaninny you could maybe see a possiblility for mistake but Mynci

Gee, I wonder if that was intentional? XD

I noticed it when I was attempting to find this toy for my plushie gallery. I knew it had been released today, but everytime I put "mynci toy" into the shop wiz, nothing came up. I finally had to go to Neoitems to find it.

But, maybe Omni is right. Because it is evil, it is spelled differently. I like the nose picking guy--I might just have to get one for my shop!

EDIT: I started this thread before I read the editorials. Now, it makes more sense. My guess is that something like this slipped through the cracks because of the "most horrendous few weeks" that Donna said both she and Adam had. Poor people. Hope they have better weeks soon.

I couldn't agree more!!!! And apostrophes in item names, that would be lovely.

The "moichandising" thing is intentional though, it's a joke :P

LOL, Morningstar, I got such a chuckle out of your post! I've been a technical editor for over 18 years now. Talk about proofreading - our company does 1st proofs, followed by 2nd proofs. Proofreading has become part of my nature - I find myself automatically proofing newspapers, magazines and books, whatever I'm reading at the time. It can be quite annoying! :P

Looking to buy Snowbunny Stamp and Sticky Snowflake Stamp. If you're selling, please PM me!
