I know that guilds are no longer allowed to hold contests or have giveaways. Fair enough.

My question is whether or not guilds are still able to hold 1 np auctions. And if so, will I be allowed to make it so that you have the achieve a certain rank in the guild before being able to participate in these auctions?

I just want to make sure, because my guild is based sort of military-like (we call it Money Tree Bombers *don't ask*), and when you enter, you start at the lowest rank, and have to complete certain tasks to get higher ranks etc.

So my question is, would this be considered a 'giveaway' as such, or a 'contest'?

I expect the reason you've not had a reply to this is because no one knows!! TNT are so odd about contests and giveaways, it's really hard to tell what's allowed and what isn't. Best you can do is ask them :/

IMO though, the fact that the user has to pay 1np (I know, I know) to participate means that tnt probably wouldn't approve, they're really against both paying to enter contests and giving prizes.

I think it would be fine if you have 1np auctions as long as you don't advertise it.

Putting restrictions as to who can bid on it makes it kinda like a 'competition'

Heheh, thanks. I was wondering why no one replied yet :P

I dunno if I should ask them or not. If I do, there'll just be more mixed replies. Very annoying. But then, why would they give the option of NF only auctions? Thats sort of what it is anyway, since I will be friends witht he people in my guild :P

EDIT:

Yeah, I guess that's true hydruxo. But the problem is, I don't want people leeching off the guild like that, staying purely for the auctions.

I'm pretty sure that 1 NP auctions are "safe". Because if you cancel an auction, the person doesnt lose that one neopoint, (oh the horror ), it should be fine because I dont see any way that you can "scam" people out of it.
