I've think they implemented this new rule so that ABers wont just continue to create new accounts to use their program. I dont think much of the new members will mind, because:
A) It took me a few months to learn what is "rare".
B) You probably wont see anything that rare often anyways.
C) Newer members may not have the neopoints needed to buy them, I.e. they bring 3k to restock or something, and really rare items usually cost a lot.
D) Many people dont even restock.
Unless you're coming back to Neo, and forgot your password or something. You'll still take a few days to work up a general "base" np from games.
A. What if you were frozen unfairly and you make tons of neopoints via restocking? That is horrible if you can't get anything good.. I was frozen and I immedeately went to restocking for cash. Not seeing that r:90 item would make me horribly disappointed that i cant make that muchc ash.
B.You'd be surprised. I've seen over 10 r:90 things so far today. I have been home for about an hour.
C. It isn't just newer members.. It's those who were unfairly frozen can't make a rightful amoun of np as their skill allows them too, because of the rule.
D. But for those who do and are under 3 months, this is horrible. Just because some don't restock doesn't mean you can limit the np making capability of those who do.
And on games, I once spent 8 hours and only made 50k in games. I can make 50k restocking in under an hour, or even five minutes if the right item pops up. That item won't pop up if I'm illegally frozen.
Horrible rule. Stop ABers a different way.[/quote]
I agree a lot with your post.
And very cool of you to be honest about ABing, Pozy.I had been suspecting it for a while, but the fact that you admit to it is good. I remember I started ABing to get back at TNT for unfairly freezing me, so I know what it's like in your shoes.
