I remember back when they said the userlookup contest will have a response whether your lookup was in, out or held...just like the neopian times. However, there have been two of them already, and neither week, i got a response. I was wondering if anyone got a response...
also, if in case no one has, is it wise to enter the lookup contest every week, or just keep my lookup there without updating or anything.

My friend got a response, saying that the editor liked her lookup but it didn't work in Mozilla, so she couldn't pick it.

I'm guessing that my original entry was not accepted ... or they just didn't like it, as I never heard from them either. But people have gotten neomails saying they were in the competition, or like Holly said, that their particular lookup didn't work in a certain browser (which I think may have been the problem with mine - I never actually thought about different browers seeing things differently before this).

So, I think I'm going to try again with my current lookup. The only thing that may not work is the colored side scrollbar. Apparently those don't show up on certain browsers (and I have no idea how to make that happen), but the rest I've asked on a board and no-one has had any problem with it looking weird or anything.

Now to try to figure out what to write about it! I'm terrible at the whole "selling myself" thing!

No response on mine...do we have to re-submit now that they are actually starting it again? Will my submission be stuck in the depths of someone's inbox? :P

thats what Im really wondering. I also have trouble with the whole selling out too...but the description of the winning lookups are not that great, however the lookups are.
They may not like bloggy lookups...

Before I got in I got a neomail saying they put my lookup on hold the day after I sent it.. For the description, maybe they just want the main point of it, nothing elaborate.. Worked for me.

Well, I didn't submit my current lookup. I was going to, went to pet central, clicked on the lookup thing, and what did I see? My original submission was there! So, I guess that means that my lookup is somewhere in someone's "inbox", if it was disqualified it seems that the submission form should be blank. Then again, I could be wrong o_O

So, I think I'll wait and see if I hear from anyone before I go and re-enter and have to go through waiting again. Maybe I'll think up a new lookup - just in case the one I did enter ends up not being accepted.

I've had the same problem with not receiving rejection letters for the NeoTimes... :(
