Hi i don't know if i am in the right place , but i was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice on how i would get my account unfrozen. I was Frozen about 1 1/2 weeks ago. I have tried neomailing the neopets staff and have not heard anything back from them. I never did anything wrong on my account( i never scammed or tried to rip anyone off ) All i basically did was restock my store and give things away. And that is what happened when i was frozen i had just given a bunch of Codestones and Spooky Map pieces away and 15 min later i was frozen.(would they have frozen me for giving away free things to members who didn't have anything?)

If anyone could please send me in the proper direction on who i could contact on Getting my account unfrozen, i would very much appreciate it.

Did you make a board on the neoboards saying you were giving out freebies?

They hate that. Ask morningstar, her daughter was frozen for the same thing.

yeah, giving things away will get you frozen. And it can take up to several months to get a reply from Neopets staff!

Unfortunately, TNT has really cracked down on anything that's a contest, raffle, giveaway. If you posted on a board - either the neoboards or even your guild saying Giveaway, that's probably why you were frozen.

And they're not as lenient on returning accounts that break the no contest rule anymore. Personally, I think something like this should just get a warning and suspension - not a freezing if all you were doing was giving some items to people and not asking for anything in return.

I could have sworn this was over in the games section last night (which is why I said it was the wrong board). Did y'all move it on me? Or am I going senile?

Personally, I don't understand what all the hoopla is about giving away pixels of imaginary items, especially within guilds. As long as a guild doesn't charge anything to enter a contest, why should it be illegal???

Ok anyway. I luckly havent had any of my accounts frozen so I don't quite know how it feels. All in all I hope you get your account back! Just make sure that if you send them something try not to sound rude. My friend had her account frozen and told them that if she didnt get her account back she would stop playing neopets. Let's just say she didn't get that account back

morningstar here. Yes, it is true. My daughter was frozen for giving away "no strings attached" presents on the help chats Christmas, 2003. Seems someone reported her as being a scammer and then the staff person hit the freeze button first before checking to see if the reporter was even telling the truth (which she wasn't doing--she was later frozen for filing too many false reports). My daughter got unfrozen a day after I sent the email--but we were lucky.

I seem to recall that Omni recently got a warning for giving away his jellies on the boards.

I don't see why people can't give away things either, Sierra, but if Neopets is going to be so nasty about having a bit of goodwill, I guess it is best to go along with their decision--even if it is senseless.
