And if you were wondering, 20 people said they would quit if Neopets became a pay-to-play site and 4 said they wouldn't. That's *does some quick maths*...83% of the polled people saying they'd quit.

I wouldn't quit. i'm sure you people'd be able to create a script or stylesheet that blocks it

I wouldn't quit if they did that. Since I have premium, I don't get the ads on my main account so it wouldn't make much of a difference.

I don't think I'd quit, but I'm sure I'd play less. That ad would bother me and it'd give a nice opening for pop-up ads and various other ads on the site. (Yes, including the Gap Paint Brush that I still think will one day happen.)

I would figure out a way to block them! Or just ignore them. I wouldn't quit neopets though...

I probably wouldn't, I'm pretty efficient at just ignoring the ads as it is (the ones at the bottom never really bothered me besides increasing the length of the page) - I'd probably be able to deal with it.

I doubt I'd quit, but I would visit the site much less then I do now (which is basically just to zap the pets and do a couple dailys as it is). That or I'd block it.

I'd keep playing and either try to block or just ignore it. It would be aggrivating though.

My first inclination is to say I'd quit. I played for over two years with only the tiny box ad on the left. It really bothers me that in the last few months, the site is being taken over with ads. I don't think I could take it if the whole page was boxed in with ads. Especially the blinking, cursor-siezing ones. I might stay just to do dailies, but I can't imagine dealing with that for more than a few minutes a day. I liked neopets because it used to be kind of an oasis from the blatant, blinking, obnoxious internet. Now, there's no difference between it and the rest.
