I think it just changed but now it is cards that flip. It takes longer and is harder to remember. I wanted to know if this just happened though.

Couldn't tell you.

But neopets needs to stop changing the classics!

Was in the news a while back.

A new and improved version of Kiko Match II is now live. We changed the look a little, gave it nicer buttons, a better game screen, that kind of thing :D

March 1st to be exact. Not sure if thats the change you are talking about.

They put a stop animation button, though, so it wouldn't flip. Still was an unecessary change, IMO.

Kudos to wonder weezel for making me this cute set. ^_^

The animations actually make the gameplay slower. I score better without them than with them.

Yes, I was a couple of weeks ago that they "updated" that game. I've played it twice since then. Even with the animation turned off, it's just takes too long for the cards to turn over. That used to be one of my favorite games :x

Real question is why they didn't call it Kiko Match 3...

That might start an annoying trend however

Perhaps it's more of a Kiko Match 2.5 and they didn't want to upgrade it to 3

I think the only improvement is that you can turn the sound off now... I always play it with the animations off, but it still takes longer to play. Is there an extra round snuck in there somewhere?

For my guild's purposes, we call it Kiko Match II [2]

I for one, never understood why they got rid of the version number info that they displayed for every flash game o_O

I just about cried when I found out about this the other day. It is so much more difficult to play now and the new animations when the buttons flip are nothing but distracting. Kiko Match was one of my only sources of nps but I'm not tolerant enough to put up with these changes, they just make things difficult (the challenge of the game is suppose to be matching in time, not tolerating the game interface). Not happy.

I absolutely abhor the new version of Kiko Match II. It's always been one of my favorite games, and I *always* played it 3 times each day. Since the new version came out, I very rarely play it anymore. Even with animations and sound turned off, the game is now sluggish, awkward and a total drag. I really wish they'd give us the same option they do with Destruct-O-Match, where you type "boohooiwanttheoldgameback". The game may be "cuter" now and more stylish, but gameplay is horrible. :x

I like the old version better. The only better new versions of games is Ice Cream Machine and Meerca Chase II

I went to play it today after I read some of the comments on this subject. I would have to agree that the new look is horrible. Not that Kiko Match has ever been close to one of my favorite games, but now I am much less likely to play it when I get bored. It takes way too long with or without the animations, and some of the pictures just seem really screwed up (streched out or very blocky).
