"Welcome to Tyrannia... a prehistoric world far under the surface of Neopia. You are currently in the Tyrannian Jungle."

Anyone ever notice that it says this on the page, but there's a sunset? If they're under the surface, how can they see the sun?

Pointless nit-picky post, I know... and I'm not complaining, just find it funny.

Tyrannia is underground? Wow, I never actually knew that - cool 8) But the sun is always setting on the plateau and the sky is always blue in the jungle...maybe it's painted on scenery ;)

You've obviously never seen Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea, an animated series of the bestest caliber. Basically, there was a giant artificial sun beneath the earth. I imagine Tyrannia was originally meant to have a magical counterpart before they scrapped the idea. There was a path to Tyrannia in the Ice Caves, and it's quite possible that while that area was indeed underground it was not featured on the map. Huzzah for silly logic!

Maybe it's some kind of sub-terrainian plant that glows brightly, like those deep-sea fish.

Ooh... I like that idea... but can plants be completely subterranean?

It was the last Maraqua plot. The flash movie can still be found somewhere on the site, but I forgot where to find the link.
