Is this a good way to make money?

I bought 2 "Ten Dubloon Coins" at 10,500np each

Then I went to the "Golden Dubloon" and bought a 1 dubloon starter, getting a "Five Dubloon Coin" and two "Two Dubloon Coins" as change.

The "Five Dubloon Coin" is selling for just over 9000np.
The "Two Dubloon Coin" is selling for just over 3000np.

Total profit 5,000np per coin.

Anything that makes you a profit (legally!) is a good way to make money, as far as I'm concerned.

Ohh, that's pretty smart. But aren't Ten Dubloon Coins more than 10k now?

It is not worth it anymore. The prices of ten dubloons has raise to 15500.

lesson learned:

if you find a good way to make money, dont post it for all the world to see

there was still a couple for around 10k earlier today.

EDIT: Oh well, at least I made quite a bit before the price rose 5k

That was just a fluke I'm pretty sure. 10 dubloons are usually at least 15k..., often more.

Just be careful, cause the Krawk Island shops are a bit flaky when making change.

Yeah, I just bought a Weewoo with 17 ten dubloon coins last week and not one of them was less than 15k. So that's not inflation, you just got a deal on the 10k coins. (Wish they'd been 10k when I bought the Weewoo.)

Still a cheap way to get a Weewoo, incidentally... it was 254k after I sold my change. Try getting a Weewoo for 254k on the Trading post.
