I remember reading somewhere that Petpage Applications to adopt Pets from Adoption Guilds and whatnot are against the rules now? Does anyone have a copy of the e-mails or discussions that prove it? o_O

If you go to the disowning pet page it says something about it on the bottom.

Well, this is the best I can come up with:
From http://www.neopets.com/pound.phtml

Quote:
Note: The pound should not be used to transfer Neopets to new owners,
selling Neopets to other people is a freezable offence.

My guess is that a lot of the adoption applications involved some sort of fee, making the transfer more of a sale than an adoption, and thus violating the rules.

It was quoted on neocolours so you might want to try searching the forums there, someone quoted it from an e-mail from a staff member if I remember correctly.

Basically it is against the rules to give money or items for a pet and because of this some members of tnt consider spending time to get a pet (in the form of a petpage application or something else lengthy) "paying" for a pet as well. In addition to the fact that no one is guarenteed a pet that is put into the pound, warning people of that is no longer enough either I'm pretty sure.

They may not crack down on it every time (tnt keep their rules consistent?!) but as it has happened in the past and members of staff have stated it is against the rules, it is not wise to try it.

That is being cracked down on - I know someone who was just frozen for allegedly "selling" pets. She did ask for an application from prospective adoptees. She wasn't selling any pets, but Neo apparently took the whole application thing as a form of "selling".

Things are really getting tighter, aren't they?

Don't know about getting tighter. Just looks like before... A case of monitors freezing first and asking questions later. Like what allways happens to me.

They really could do with revising ALL rules and sticking to them.
