I have been getting popups from neopets all morning! My popup blocker is blocking them and when I allow they are usually from get a free ipod.

did I miss it when TNT said they were going to have popups or is there something else wrong here?

here's a screenie.

I'd send them an email about it,it might just be a mistake or oversight.

Of course, if they really are allowing popups now, shame on them!

=/ It could be that some adware was installed onto your computer through an ad on Neopets..
I think that happens to a lot of people.. not sure..

If you're using IE, it's probably spyware. You should try both Adaware and Spybot together as they don't always catch the same things. Delete your cookies, clear your cache, etc. If you still get them then email TNT and they should remove it. I will give them credit in that usually when popup or inappropriate ad is placed on the site by their sponsors, it's removed promptly.

A friend of mine was having that problem, she was using IE with a Google toolbar (the same as you, I believe), and had run spyware scans.

Only thing you can do, really, is get Firefox. Plus, it's safer too. :)

I have popups coming out the yin-yang on neo. I've had popups on five consecutive pages now :o Didn't TNT say there would NEVER be popups on neo? That's another broken promise added to a mile-long list. >-(

Listen guys, TNT has ALWAYS stuck by the no-pop up policy.
When you find one, quickly alert them. They will try and get rid of it ASAP. Sometimes the ads just implement things that neopets doesn't want. Once alerted, *BOOM* they will be gone.

Unfortunately since it's the weekend, it might take a bit longer than usual... but trust me I'm almost certain that this promise hasn't been broken.

I've reported the popup below several times, and people have still been getting this, as far as I know:

I've been spyware scanning like a madwoman all morning, wondering where these things came from. Now I know. :(

..well, on the bright side, you all can pretend you're playing Advert Attack when you close them and they reopen.

I haven't been getting ANY popups at all, and I'm using Netscape. ._.; Dunno if that has anything to do with it or not.
