Well I also wrote my idea down at the Neopian Times Writers forum and I know that some of the staff lurks there, so maybe they can read that too. It is hard for me to write a lot in an idea email, and I don't really know if those are looked at. I tried writing a long and detailed email just now and I did send it off, but I just hope that they read this post, because I can more describe what I want here. And you guys can comment and add to it.
Anyway, some pets are less popular, such as buzzes and lennies and stuff. I think the less popular pets should get the best item boost at this time.
Buzz Honey should be comparable to a draik scale. And a lenny feather or something like that should be great too. Each pet should have something awesome to contribute so that there really isn't going to be a great benifit in owning a rare pet. But it might be more of an incentive to own a buzz or some of the less popular pets if they could give you honey. And well, this wouldn't be a daily thing either. I don't know how often it would happen.
And well, I think each skill should sort of feed on other ones. So before you can milk the kau, or grind the grain, or whatever you need to do, you might need to fish first. The farmer might want a certain kind of fish. Or maybe he would want a certain kind of berry from the berry farm. But before you could pick a berry at the berry farm you might have to do something else. Well anyway, the potential for a catch 22 situation could happen, so hopefully they will work the bugs out. It would stink to not be able to milk the Kau because you need a berry. And not be able to pick a berry until you bring the berry farmer some milk! LOL!
And well, it sould be easy to start a skill, but harder and harder to level after a while, and with greater rewards when you do.
But anyone should be able to participate, even new players and little kids who might not be so good at games. And well, teachers and parents would just EAT THIS UP because it teaches kids about bartering and that the foods they eat and the things they use must be made, and that takes work. And I could see this being used in class rooms. So if any staff are reading this, I am sure you are eating it up too. Becuase you could therefore say your site is educational and get some brownie points from someone somewhere, and that is always good!

(Not that your site isn't already educational, because it really really is.)
