Okay, this is the first time I've had this problem and no amount of downloading and redownloading patches and updates and etcetera is fixing it.

A few weeks back I was able to view the flash maps of Neopia just fine. Now all of a sudden my compy decides I cannot view any other maps other than the market bazaar o_O

It loads fine as normal, but the flash-based maps don't appear at all. The page is done and no map.

I've tried waiting for longer and doing other things whilst it loads.
I've tried re-downloading Shockwave and Flash.
I've adjusted user preferences to view flash maps.

I think I've tweaked and cancelled most if not all the settings on my computer and still nothing.

I use Mozilla Firefox, and recently it started having the same issues with other sites, but they appear to have fixed themselves.

Any suggestions on what I can do?

Did you try cleaning your temporary internet files? That happens to me sometimes, and that's all I have to do.

Neopets recently went over to the lastest version of flash,so I suggest you look if you have the latest version.

I was having a similar problem with firefox and flash on the site. On the advice of a fellow PPTer, I downloaded and installed flashblock from the firefox website, disabled adblock (using flashblock instead) and it worked.
Afterwards, I was able to figure out which line in adblock was causing the trouble.

So, if you are using adblock, first thing I would suggest is using the "List all blockable elements" function to see what is blocked on those pages. Then delete the neopets.com lines until you find the one that is causing the problem. (IF deleting a link doesn't fix the problem, add it back.) If you delete them all and still have problems, consider switching to flashblock.

If you aren't using adblock, then I have no clue, but will point someone more knowledgeable to the thread.

Marinnai, so far, the maps I've checked (not all of them) are loading. But ... I had my computer reformatted today, use WinXPSP2, loaded everything fresh this afternoon - flash and shockwave, then firefox and flash and shockwave for that.

Now, games don't want to load. I either get nothing, sometimes a blank white box or the game will start loading and just stop at a certain point. Doing it in both IE and FF, so I don't know what the answer is.

There was something on the macromedia site about improved security with flash 8. Whether that means anything, I don't know. I've put neopets.com and swf.neopets.com in allowed, don't know what else to do!
