as far as I can tell, damn, hell, and crap are unfiltered. I use "craptastic" a lot, lol.

I'm not completely sure, but I think you can say it. Even then, if someone reports you, it's very possible you'll get frozen for it.

I've seen darn on NQII too. They got lots of damn/darns in chapter 5.

I'm not sure about crap, I think I remember someone getting warned for saying that...I do know someone got warned for saying damn on the boards.

I did a copy and paste of the warning they got:

I added the bold - I think that's an important sentence. It seems to be a " Do As I say, Not As I Do" situation, like so many others.

We really DO need a list of all the words that you can't type on the site! And if they're going to warn/freeze people for saying damn, hell, crap, ebay or anything else, then they sure should NOT be using those words anywhere themselves!

Yeah see, I don't understand why they're freezing people for saying Ebay. I might be wrong, but on the news or editorial in the past (when neo merch was only available in the USA) they said that if you live outside the US that people were selling plushies or whatever on ebay. Maybe they said 'auction site' o_O

Hell isn't a swear word either. It's a place.

I don't consider darn a swear word either.

That's the problem with the whole bad words thing, people have different ideas of what's bad and what isn't.

the other problem with it is: SWEAR WORDS DON'T HURT ANYBODY. seriously. what a bizarre form of censorship, to put stigmas on certain words. i'm not just talking about neopets; i'm talking about the whole world. (well, western world anyway. i don't claim to know about the whole actual world.)

it just strikes me as strange that a world that will happily display people (and pets) hitting each other and causing each other actual, physical harm will shriek and gasp over a simple four-letter utterance. sticks and stones (and wrestling and battling) will break bones, but words will never, ever hurt me.

it's stupid. effing stupid.

Yes and they say "see you in hell" at the end of the Maraquan plot.

But you'll still get warned if you say it because idiots will go and report you because you say something like "darn"
