 Post subject: Faerie Abilities are ruined

Yup Tnt did it this time. the faerie abilites are all ruined. All abilites use the same percentage if they are set to weak or to strong and sink and borrow dont block full anymore. I think Tnt just ruined 99.99% of the peoples tactics in the battledome

Alternatively, it makes strategy easier in terms of deciding what you want to do - block, attack, whatever.

I'm just peeved about the non-full-blocking stuff. It would be nice if Sink and Burrow still blocked 100%, but...enh. What can you do? Adapt or stop.

That's a quite an unexpected decision. It will highly affect low-cash battlers. The faeries prices might drop too.

But, for the burrow/dive downgrade, it's not that much of a biggie, unless it defends only a couple of icons now. It was very cheap for ability, to be able dodge like 20 icons. Now, it may be hard on 1-player, but it think it's a good thing for two-player battles.

By the way, it is me or does it take 39% energy instead of 40%?

i think its 39% but it doesnt defend as good and all abilities use that much on any statuse

After some testing, I've come to a few conclusions.

Firstly: Yes, Sink, Burrow and Drain Life are using 39% energy instead of 40%. If you look at the progression of the numbers, 39 is logical. It started out as 50% for each, but TNT realized that after using two abilities, you had 0% energy, and thus, could not defend/berzerk/fierce etc. They decided to make the change to 49% to leave each player with 2%, enough to do all of the aforementioned. TNT, thinking this harsh (speculation on my part), lowered it to 39% to allow for another ability to be used. After testing these abilities for about an hour or so, I discovered that Burrow and Sink were not blocking as they should be (as you probably noticed if you were on Battledome Chat at the time).

Further testing led me to the theory (which has been tested and proven) that the energy used to back Burrow/Sink is proportional to the amount blocked. To explain, I'll use Burrow as an example. For every 40 energy used, as was the case prior to these changes, a 100% block of the damage inflicted by the icons Burrow defends (everything except light and dark). A Burrow on weak, using 10 points of energy, by this logic, would defend 25% of the damage inflicted by Burrow's icons. The formula you can derive from this, to determine the amount of damage blocked, is as follows:

Damage Blocked = (Amount of damage dealt to you) * ((Amount of energy used) / 40)

No one, including myself, noticed a change when the abilities cost 50%, or 49% for the simple fact that you were defending more than was being dealt to you, which resulted in 0 damage total. However, now that 39 is the magic number, you get a few damage trickling through, even though it appears as if all icons are being blocked.

That is a load of crap. What do they mean "abusing"? Do they mean using them on weak? This has completly ruined my BD strategy because now I can't use restore on strong after I do drain life and burrow. GRRRRR!

:x :x :x This almost makes me wanna quit. I've been training and training just so I could beat the Space Faerie. After they made drainlife one use, I was ok, that really sucks but if I train more I'll be able to beat her. Well NOW THIS. I'm furious. I'm NEVER gonna beat that &%$# Space Faerie! Why can't they leave the battledome alone!!!!!!! :x :x :x


EDIT: What the heck do they mean by ABUSING?????????? Those strong/weak options were there for a reason!!!!!!!

If its all the same no matter what level what is the point of having fifferent strength levels, its pointless...but anyway; I'm not too happy, I'm a bit in the dark about how people could excactly abuse abilities. But this doesn't hurt me too much, being that TNT is always ruining my strategies anyway.

I didn't even know this. Not battled in a while. More so because of the freezing incident.

But ABUSING? Wahhh? I never realised it was considerd abusing. If it works, it works. You're only abusing something if it was like some glitch. O_o Thas really confusing.
